the ' ] ' probably isn't meant to be there

I will probably continue to read this mind frying novel but I did read the synopsis again the demons will probably be on his side seeing by their dialogue even tho they basically torture him for no reason, and his friends r obviously gonna betray him I can already feel who it is that kills him it could be other people but it is quite annoying for I have no idea why all the character r assholes to him for nothing

up to maybe chap 42? I forgot but most of the time while reading I'm just angry, all of the characters are just assholes in general ( is there a reason for not having a normal actually nice person ), the MC being used like a fleshlight constantly saying how he doesn't want to do this and that in his mind ( it is stated he does have social anxiety in one sentence and never mentioned again but for me I can't stand it even with such a reason they are just over the top ) but all the other characters make him do whatever they want with him obviously against it and them being quite aggressive about it. The absolute massive overuse of the word flinch and hesitate I swears it's used a dozen times every chapter over the most minor things like come on not even a bit of variation there're so many other words you can use that have similar meanings, also repeating some phrases a literal paragraph after ( is there a gun to your head saying you can't use other words) The MC not being very smart ( blaming Eric's dad acting like he was the sole person behind the game etc being petty tbf the other characters are worse ) ig he's not dumb by any means certainly not at the average MC of a cultivation novel but definitely not at the top of his class ( it's says in the novel he is but I don't believe it.) Plus the all use get away card used by authors when their MC is dumb is that he is naive usually the MC being atleast 17+ while sometimes acting as if he's just came out of the womb shocked by a very obvious action or event but that's alright and makes sense cuz yk he's naive it's makes it A-OK, even when they are assholes to him he just goes ah oh well they are good people! ( they aren't ) beyond any of that I was looking forward to the revenge but it is a good bit in the novel but all these cons will have me rip out my hair by the time I get there. Tldr: Pushover + Stupid-naive MC, all characters being one dimensional blatantly aggressive prick characters that don't care for the MC's feelings, Great over use of words and phrases. This is rlly more of rant after reading so many ass novels you hit a limit especially when you think it might actually be good but it's not

it's been like half a year since I dropped it but when u mentioned Zhao I instantly knew who it was, she's so memorable; one of the few characters to make me seethe in rage ( in the novel ) I actually can't process how much I hate this character
