The story is under-developed, it’s quite a disappointment. It just ended abruptly that there are a lot of things that were not addressed at all. One’s time would be better spent reading another book.

Yeah, the racist parts are quite a turn-off. The author didn’t say the actual country but the names she gave the characters were a dead giveaway. I had a hard time getting past those parts. Other than that, the book was quite fun to read. Initially, Gu Ning was too poweful. Glad that Shaoting managed to catch up when he started to cultivate.
