Why do people want ruthless main characters?

Yandere Does Not equal gore. How cumbersome.

Because people who label yandere as physicall aggressive keep confusing the meaning of it to a socially unstable capable of murder and people who want to read about it end up disappointed to when they look for yandere stories. Yandere doesn’t equal dangerous to the life of others. So stories like this end up being ignored by people who don’ appreciate stories that label yandere as dangerous. Me personally? I don’ find the idea of the main character being a sociopath amusing.
