What kindness? He didn't do it out of the goodness of his heart but because they saved his wife from death and also because he wants a potentially good doctor to help them in the future. I agree that the MC shouldn't be disrespectful but that doesn't mean he has to be respectful either when they technically need him more than he needs them.
