the only reason why people find it hard to apologize is because they got forced to do it as child. then they had at least one situation where they didn't do the bad thing and had to do a more "humility" apology. most see apologizing as confirmation that you did something wrong and that it doesn't just end with that apology but that it comes with punishments they wouldn't get if they didn't apologize.

nope. btw. don't see the exceptions that survived the tale as gruesome fights and complete wipes of troops as the norm. most fights ended when it was clear who wins. the soldiers were too valuable to let them die in a losing fight. they are also needed in the farms and other production jobs in times of piece. they didn't have hundreds of thousands of soldiers and men in general to just let them die on the battlefield without care.
