Uhh the timeline in this novel seems to get mixed up A LOT! She came back at the age where of 15. Then 2 years pass which makes her what….17 yrs old? Then she just had her coming of age ceremony. Which I’m thinking that means she 18 yrs old??? So if they went to that auction 9 years ago then that means she was just 9 years old!!!! Then he really need to be arrested and put in jail man!!!

I mean I do feel bad for Chen Yao…but at the end of the day she’s the one that choose to follow this Nini girl and be at her beck and call.

Overall I enjoy this novel. Personally I’m a fan of murder mystery and investigations type of novel. The characters are also very well written. But what I’m disappointed in is the ending. Not sure if the author planned for the ending to be like that or if the author ran out of motivation and rushed to end the book. The ending was very anticlimactic and just simply a let down. After reading and spending my money on a 400+ chapters novel I was expecting a much better and more well written out ending.
