I like the story, but if you ever rewrite it I have a couple suggestions. Ignore if this is some future plot i have yet to get to. First suggestion is that if you want your Mc to have a connection with pikachu you should have the Mc help pikachu evolve from a pichu and have the Mc go learn from some professor around the time Ash's journey starts. If you don't like that idea you can just have professor oak have enough starters throughout the years your Mc had vulpix instead of tearing him and pikachu apart then deciding not to do it with vulpix.

how does thoth fit into this since the Mc has knowledge as his domain and he has the spirit owl tong as the keeper of history or knowledge not too sure? Is he giving up his knowledge domain or sharing it?
