Read up to chapter 70. It is honestly not bad. There are some issues yeah, like a sentence might have the word "no" when they actually meant down. This happens some times which does break immersion sure but you get past that easily. Also, up to chapter 37 it felt like we were following Homelander along for the most time, after chapter 37 when the aftermath chapters start it feels more like reading a grocery list or a report of what happened. Some of those chapters are good though, like the POV change to other characters but i feel like the love for the story was gone at that point. Still, I've read worse than this. At least it makes sense, logically, every step homelander takes and what he says and does. So, 4/5 is what this deserves, I knocked 1 star off because of the very small issues.

When i wrote apprehend "him", I mean of course the MC LOL.

Ngl, i'm sort of okay with skipping past the maso part of the story. This is great, making progress!

Alright, let's start making some progress soon. Sorta annoyed already but it's the second chapter... so I have hope, for now. Hopefully this won't be a story where he just gets bullied all the time cuz "haha mc is bullied, funny" is starting to become a very tiresome trope.

One more thing, nowhere in the synopsis does it actually say slice of life, either that or I am blind and missed it. But I checked again just now. It does mention a slow burn love story, that does not however equate to slice of life in my opinion.

Stopped at chapter 9. Nah, just nah man. Reading bruce banner going: "brother this brother that" just keeps breaking my immersion. Not only that but wtf is professor x even saying sometimes? You could replace any of those characters with someone else and I would probably feel no different. Like, since when does Bruce speak like that? Or any of the other X-Men? Jesus, I can only imagine what spiderman would sound like in this fanfic lol... This ain't for me. I'm out. I'm giving it a 3/5 for the effort, fighting and aura farming scenes tho.

Brother author/translator, the china vibes are starting to show too much right now. Brother author/translator, could we perhaps tone down the brother talk. If that's okay with you brother author/translator? You see brother author/translator, it's starting to annoy me just a bit. You see when reading xianxia/wuxia I don't expect to see people being called mister or sir, it's sort of similar on how when i'm reading a marvel/godzilla or whatever fanfic based off of american content I don't expect to see the brother talk. But, this might just be me brother author/translator.

Am I the only one who feels that the conversations between characters are kinda... off? I can't really explain it.

Dude... how much longer are we going to be these relationship side quests? Like, Death I understand... But can we get on with it? This is starting to get boring to the point where i'm considering skimming through chapters. Don't missunderstand, I don't mind the story having relationshisps between characters but you gotta do something more than just that. He has barely played around with his powers, trained or tested anything. He just, gets a link to it, there is some effect and then nothing? He uses his powers once against emma frost and then he is out could for 17 hours? I'm really trying to like this story but I'm at chapter 18 and it feels like I am still at the prologue part of the story. I dunno... I might be delusional and this is maybe what everyone likes nowadays.
