Ben got the gist of it. He never heard that before. In movies and TV, it was common to see men offering to buy women drinks. A lot of on-screen romances started like that. Now, Ben understood TV wasn't the best place to get advice from. Many of the things he learned in the recent past were counter-intuitive, but verified to be correct through his experience.
