That woman gives him a special energy that restores Han Li's spiritual for a moment enough for him to get the materials out of his spatial pouches and beast pouches, so that he can escape the Umbra Realm, a Realm where all cultivators are turned effectively into mortals. Also if not for the woman's special constitution, then giving Han Li access to spiritual power would have been impossible by any other means. Also Han Li must help her find her brother. So there are reasons on both sides, that if applied in a true to life situation it makes sense. especially since in this scenario they are essentially mortal, ie no powers. Just like in real life, so they need each other. it also happens that Han Li meets the jerk that was trying to burn him alive just a few Chapters before, Han Li struggled but in the Umbra Realm it's not as troublesome shall I saw for our protagonist. none of this is spoiler material as it happened long before the current chapter in case anyone gets bent out of shape on my exposition. Han Li is in fact doing the best he can in a dog eat dog world. Also the author is (Wang Yu or Yu Wang?) he is Chinese. China is dog eat dog, as for morality I can speak to what they believe is moral, but it will surely differ from the west. Maybe some ppl can't handle that, fair... but in comparison to many other cultivators as Han Li progresses to higher and higher power levels, he is by far more upstanding. Doesn't make him Jesus, just maybe chaotic/neutral to coin DnD jargon? maybe he isn't good, fair... but he isn't evil and heartless by the measure.of all the other characters. Only truly naive/young/clueless people/mortals included van be considered good. but these ppl might as well be npc's as they will never be anyone important. sorry you don't like the story but, honestly this is one of the most well written stories depicting how someone who had all the disadvantages of poor aptitude and a vagrant cultivator, who had to claw his way up the power structure of the viscious cultivation world. It's not till he reaches Nascent Soul level that we finally start getting chapter where he is slightly OP... what 700 chapters in?..... most other stories with cultivators are already OP by chapter 40-150... and let me tell you that is just lazy Mary Sue writing, (like Strongest Abandoned Son) good book but he is mostly OP from thr get go, very few moments past chap 40 where I feel MC can die, or is a regular dude. If you take it from this perspective yhe story becomes much more enjoyable. To each his own, I can also appreciate your position... rant over 😆
lol the Han and Li clans.... 😅🤣😂
The cultivator that looks at Han Li with malice is named Feng, isn't that the name of the grade 9 storm beast? it decided to start in its human form?
Dirty girl...
I call dibs on breast...😏
It's a song...ie lyrics
😑I would put forth that yes, It would have been cool if MC passed the test, but by entering through the back door 🚪 the story retains a modicum of realism. It would be a nearly imposible task to have come from a strictly scientific world and be isekai'd into a parallel near identical reality where that society that just so happens to have a System of Magic.🕵 🤡Plus he has no knowledge of said magic system and then decides to learn everything that is considered the fundamentals of said magic system. Even if he only had to catch up just 1 year's worth of material in the 2 months he had, it would be extremely difficult. 🤔Even if there were crossover knowledge similarities between his previous reality and this one, it was clearly established that he didn't care about studying and was severely behind as well (in the original reality) and was probably going to just go into the work force. 🤓Also we know he's not a genius or has photographic memeory, he's a regular slacker with a chip on his shoulder who decides to starighten out his act. Just bc you wish to study does not mean that all of a sudden you know "how" to study. Plus effective studying is about retention. Most people's minds need time to retain and assimilate knowledge. 😒Therefore I think the only way that our MC would get into the magical academy aspect of his education is only by using "connections".🤥 I think by doing his entrance to "magic academy" this way makes us the reader like the MC more as a "hard working run of the mill guy" just like the rest us "normals"👍. 🤔He may have great magical aptitude but everything else is all heart and hard work🏃🏃🏃🏃.
He's a genius with photographic memory....maybe? ( Nah, probably plot armor ) 😄
🤔This MC and story regarding how MC gets inoi the magic high school is fairly identical to an anime called "Quan Zhi Fa Shi" aka "Full-Time Magister"...🤷 Far as i can tell except a small flourish here and there, that the begining of this novel is almost identical to the anime opening episodes.😅 😒And yes the MC of the anime is also called Mo Fan..🤦
