This seems reminiscent of dementors (drawing in emotions) but instead being benign.
Thanks for the chapter.
I know you said that the Hun and Po souls are not inheritable, but could Harry use soul magic to replicate it in others? His guardians are letting him study soul magic, meaning he will likely get help to master it fully if he expresses interest in doing so. Beyond that, he wouldn't exactly be starting from scratch as he has research material available to him. The first and most useful is his perfect memory of his soul undergoing the change from a normal wizard's soul to one of Hun and Po. The second source of research material is the previous attempts of Chinese wizards. You said prior that Chinese wizards have tried to change their souls to be like his. This means that some research material should already exist that could give Harry more context in future endeavors. Finally, he is almost certain to run into Voldemort's Horcuxes, meaning he can start his experiment on souls without much guilt. (I get that each piece of Voldemort's soul is incomplete, but it could at least give him insight into how to fundamentally change a soul's nature).
Thanks for the chapter.
Not really. Except for events like this, they could use human transfiguration or illusions to hide their identities whenever they want to take Harry on trips around the world. Beyond that, he spends all his time at the Flamel's home and Hogwarts. He isn't that easy to access for kidnappers, assassins, or other ill-wishers.
Thanks for the chapter.
Will this have long-term consequences? I mean, is he the equivalent of a cleric, just channeling divine energies, or will it slowly change him, giving him a divine nature?
It's great he is learning more magic spells. Considering how many draws he has had, it is a little shocking to remember this is only the second magical spell he gained. (I'm ignoring Animagus since it is an acquired magical ability.)
Thanks for the chapter.
Such a feat should feed into his growing pool of faith. After all, doing things that it is believed even Merlin (the Wizarding World's pseudo-diety) couldn't do at 7 years old is more than enough to inspire feelings of awe and worship.
