Was not Expecting that

Offended by Owen's comment, a frown became evident on Kristoff's face. So, after everything that happened, are they able to speak with each other without lifting their fists at each other's sight?

Ridiculous. Deadpan, Kristoff stood up.

''Hey, where are you going?'' Owen lifts his head up to look at Kristoff. Baffled that he had stood up from his chair.

''For your information, rich boy, I did not come here willingly. I was dragged here." He huffs after blurting out the statement.

From Kristoff's peripheral vision, Owen's face contorted into a terrible expression. Perhaps, Kristoff had stepped on a landmine he should not have but whatever.

Besides, Kristoff will not play nice with Owen ever in this lifetime.

Kristoff left Owen behind while fixing the collar of his school uniform. An icy expression on him, similar to Adrian's expression whenever something bad cropped in.

He does not owe him anything besides the stunt they did. A tinge of regret tingles inside however, he ruthlessly plunges the emotion deep within.

Lucas and Adrian stood by, far yet still near, the teachers' side closer to the stage. The good thing about this is they are around the stage. Enormous trees planted before by his ancestors and alumni contributed in this matter resulting for Lucas to enjoy the benefit.

Mr. Evans sighs at their side, massaging his aching temples.

"Adrian and Lucas, don't cause anymore trouble from this onwards okay?'' Mr. Evans pleaded.

His eyes sunken and skin paled. Lips bloodless and chapped. The clothes he wears hung carelessly on his body, not the put together teacher Lucas had seen before.

Possibly, the stress of their actions had resulted in his haggard form. Gone is the spotless teacher, the first impression he has of him, replaced with a weary one. Lucas slightly pitied his new teacher.

Adrian knows otherwise. Although Mr. Evans had looked like a beggar yet the hickey imprinted on the neck accidentally peeking while he fixed his shirt is proof that his teacher had fun last night.

He did not hold himself and spoke what his mind said.

''Mr. Evans. That love bite is conspicuous.'' Adrian whispers. His words passed to Mr. Evan's ears.

Mr. Evans freezes while rolling up his sleeve. Shifting his body towards the duo just in time to see the look of amusement in Adrian. The curl of his lips was obvious for him to see. He averts his eyes.

Lucas' jaw drops. His eyes looked back and forth to Adrian and Mr. Evans. Surprise flashing in his orbs. He let his sight roam around Mr. Evans' body scanning to have a glimpse of a love bite mark Adrian had commented about.

Luckily, with his sharp knife gaze, his sight locked on the love mark. The mark was still reddish. Fresh.

Mr. Evans softly scolded his student.

"What do you mean a love bite? You've seen it wrongly."

Adrian shakes his head and denies, "I am not mistaken with what I have seen. I have an eye witness here."

He elbows Lucas. They shared a glance.

Instantly, the tension between them ceased for a moment. The two have a common enemy. And that enemy is their teacher.

Lucas nods in agreement. Pretending he did not see the slight shake of his teacher's head to pull him at his side. In a glimpse, the mirth in his orbs began dancing. He rocks himself back and forth to some degree in a good mood.

He does not know why even they had their misunderstandings, without fail he quickly camped at Adrian's side.

Lucas snickers, appalled at how he gets on his side. No further contemplation of his decision.

Adrian flashes a smile. White pearl teeth in full display, he almost burst into a fit of laughter when Mr. Evans turned red in embarrassment.

Mr. Evans looks sideways, hoping someone has not heard the conversation here. Sighing in relief, he pulls out a handkerchief from his pockets, dabbing the non existent sweat on his forehead.

Alas, Adrian just had to have a penetrating glance.

"Adrian. Lucas." Mr. Evans had a desire to reprimand the duo however, the succeeding words had been stuck in his throat.

"Mr. Robert." The two greets.

Mr. Robert, his appearance put together nods as a greeting back. Arriving by Mr. At Evans ' side, he looks at the students sneaking a peek towards this side.

He had come forward to diffuse the event that might occur. Side eyeing his co-teacher, the elegant Mr. Robert snickers and coughs after. Disguising the snicker into a cough.

Lucas raises an eyebrow towards this. Mr. Robert is acting out the norm. His normal behavior differs from the initial impression he has of him.

"..." Mr. Evans sourly glanced at Mr. Robert.

They did not exchange words yet the gunpowder in the air permeated.

Lucas leans and whispers for Adrian to hear only.

"Is there something going on between our teachers?"

Adrian briefly sweeps his glance to the two teachers.

He shrugs in response. There is something brewing however he could not pinpoint what it is. Further inspection and clues are essential to draw a conclusion. Adrian would not conclude something if the clues are still insufficient.

Misunderstanding is the root cause of problems.

Lucas huffs not receiving a verbal response. His mind began to operate. Still, he boldly guessed. Of course, he would not say it aloud. He would keep it to himself like before.

He leans back, inching away from Adrian. Craning his neck to the sideways in time to catch Owen's complicated gaze.

He stares, looking baffled at Owen's expression. He could not deduce what his friend was trying to convey. Although they had been friends since years ago, there was such a time wherein their brain waves could not connect.

And that time is happening today.

His classmates had been looking over towards their side. Murmurs breaking out from time to time however every single discussion emitting from them has been silenced by nearby teachers.

Lucas bypasses their gossipy gazes and the look of watching a show. It's not his area of expertise to understand what they meant by that. Moreover, it will just suck on his energy.
