chp 9: It's fate

In the morning, on her way to the hospital, she asked her driver to stop by a flower shop to buy some bouquets.

When she handed her card for the payment, the shopkeeper told her that it was not working.

"Oh, so, Mr. Howell blocked my account tsk. " she gave him another card for payment.

In the hospital, Mel was waiting outside for bella. Bella got out of the car and handed the daisy bouquet to mel. "These are for Eve."

Melissa saw another 2 bouquets of roses and daisies in the backseat. Bella noticed her gaze and said

"It's Lily's  birthday today. I am gonna visit her and Grandpa. So tell me, did you contact the father?"

"Oh, i forgot, yes bell he is a match, but he doesn't want the surgery to happen here. So we will go to country A."

"That's awesome news. So when are you leaving?"

"Not sure will decide after consulting Evelyns doctor,"

"Ok, let's go and see Eve." Little dumpling was asleep, so after seeing her bella left for the cemetery.

On the other side of the city, Diana went to her agency to work, but the manager took her to his office. "Miss diana, we are very sorry, but we can't work with you anymore."

"What is the reason?" Diana knew but still asked.

"Miss diana, you shouldn't have offended someone who you couldn't afford to offend. Anyways, this is the termination contract, and this is the penalty."

Diana signed the contract silently, took the money, and left.

'This won't do. I can't live like this. I have to meet with james. Otherwise, my career will be ruined. You just wait, jerk, you gonna come begging me to work again. "

Diana called james several times, but there was only a busy ringtone.

"He has blocked my number. Damn it. I guess i will have to find him myself. "

In the cemetery, james was standing in front of a grave with a bouqet of roses in his hand.

"Hello mrs howell i m here to pay you a visit. Our hunt family owes you and partriach howell a great debt."

"I m sorry, i couldn't keep the promise of making your daughter happy as diana seemed to have a change of heart, but i promise that i will support her in any other way as possible."

James Victoria will understand. Don't burden yourself. Ok?" Old master hunt said when they heard.

"Hello, old master hunt," bella greeted

"Hi beautiful bella. You are here as well. Isn't this fate? You are here for victorias birthday, and james is here for his parents' death anniversary. Why don't you guys just get married? Hmmm"

James also turned around while his heart skipped a beat. Both of them kept looking at each other for a good 1 minute before bella broke the gaze and started walking toward her grandpa's grave.

Old master was baffled that she didn't even greet james. james also looked shocked but left silently. In the car, james said

"Grandpa, stop teasing her, will you?"

"Heh, already worrying about your wife? Grandpa teased and winked, but seeing james dark face, he stopped

"You brat, who do you think I'm doing this for? If you had the capability of marrying her yourself, i wouldn't have intervened. "

"How many times i must say for you to understand that i don't want to marry her?"

"How long are you gonna keep this up, huh? She might get stolen away by somebody else.I will ask u one last time, so answer me honestly, or you will regret it. Do u really not want to marry her?"

Grandpa looked at james without blinking. He was scared that if he blinked, he might miss the slightest hint. But to his surprise, james went silent, and countless emotions went through his eyes, but he didn't bother to hide them.Then, he closed his eyes, opened them again, and said firmly

"I really don't." his eyes looked really clear now.

"Alright, since you have made up your mind, i won't intervene anymore," Grandpa said sadly.

James looked out the window and had flashbacks from the distant past.

It was raining that day. James was 18 years old. All members of the hunt family were there to attend the funeral. Grandma hunt kept hugging james and crying. "My poor baby grandma is so sorry. Why didn't they listen to me. Why didn't they believe me? " Then she started wailing "its all my fault. If only i had stopped them more strongly, this wouldn't have happened. "

After the funeral, grandma hunt took james to a monk whom she had visited before.

"Monk i m so sorry i didn't believe in you before when you told me my sons fate but this time i will believe you so please sir check this child's fate" with that she gave him some of his details.

The monks eyes lit up "Hmmm interesting" he looked up to see james's face. " Child, your fate is already determined. You will have a good life full of love and happiness. Your life partner will be your lucky star. You just have to accept her and love her with everything you have, then you will live a blissed life." "Huh, his partner? His lucky star, who is she?" "Oh haven't you guys already made the promise to partner him up with someone. All you need to do is just fulfil the promise that was made even before they were born."

"And if we don't?" Grandma asked scaredly

"He will die even before reaching his 30s."

"What? No, no way this time i will listen to you they will marry no matter what"

After a few months of this prediction, Grandma asked james to make a promise that he would only marry the howells 1st daughter on her deathbed and died.

James sighed heavily.

'I guess i don't have long to live, better not drag  somebody else in this difficult situation with me'
