Chapter 82: Reunion

-[Sora]-

Letting down the telekinetic barrier, he allowed Killer Croc loose to do as he was instructed; wreak havoc.

The reanimated criminal lunged forward at the gathering of tanks and soldiers, tearing into a tank as it exploded. .

He didn't stop there, grabbing another tank and smashing it onto another tank. The soldiers inside tried to scurry out of them but they were too late as Waylon swung his huge fist into the pile, sending it towards the other tanks.

*BOOM!*

Sora stood back and watched the chaos ensue. He had no doubt that Waller was doing the same as well.

Bullets shot towards him with the hope of taking him out and ending Killer Croc's rampage. Unfortunately for them, the reanimation jutsu neither needed his attention nor for him to even be alive.

Though impossible, even if they managed to kill him, Killer Croc's rampage would only continue until he had nothing left to destroy.

With a swift use of [Telekinesis], a barrier formed around him, stopping the bullets midair. He turned to the soldiers with a dry glare, a flick of his finger sending the bullets back flying through their heads.

"If you won't come out then I'll come to you." Sora said as he walked deeper into the base, ignoring the ongoing chaos.

With [Energy Sensing], he could feel the multiple energy signatures at the other end of the base. He didn't waste time, shooting forward at high speed.

Withdrawing his blade from his inventory, he cut down every soldier that crossed his path as he made his way towards the cluster of energy signatures.

He soon found himself staring at a staircase with 9 soldiers lined up in front of it, 5 of them holding rocket launchers over their shoulders and the remaining four with machine guns in their hands.

Upon seeing him, they wasted no time in firing their shots, a deadly barrage of bullets surging forward as rocket ammunition followed behind it.

*BOOM!**BOOM!**BOOM!**BOOM!*

The impact caused multiple explosions that shook the base. Even those who were occupied with getting razed by Waylon felt it.

"Did we get him!" One of them asked.

"I think we did. It hit him, didn't it?" Another one replied.

The smoke quickly cleared out to reveal an unharmed Sora surrounded by a dark purple ribcage.

He allowed the chakra construct to fade as he saw the looks of victory turn to looks of fear.

"Impossible! Impossible!" One of the soldiers began screaming as he lost his composure, recklessly firing the machine gun in his hands.

As if given a signal, the others followed suit. This time, Sora didn't block it. In a frightening show of speed, he blurred forward, dodging the bullets as he got in front of them.

A single swing of his blade sent limbs flying as he moved to the others, repeating the same process. In mere moments, the nine soldiers were on the floor with no legs or hands to support them as they bled out.

Sora climbed the stairs, swinging the sword to the side and sending the blood smoothly sliding off it.

As he got to the top of the stairs, he swung his hand forward, using [Telekinesis] to send the door flying open.

The soldiers who were lying in ambush behind it were pushed along with it, smashing into the wall behind them and turning them into bloody pastes.

"You've got some nerve boy. It's not too late for you to surrender." Waller said as Sora entered the room.

In front of her were the last two members of her suicide squad, Captain Boomerang and the mysterious masked man.

"Like I said before, you don't seem to realize the situation you're in. Let me make myself clear." Sora said as a powerful pressure pushed down on the participants in the room, Sora's killing intent surging to suffocating levels.

"I'm not here on some noble mission. I'm not here because someone sent me here and I'm not here to take prisoners. I'm here for blood. Your blood specifically." He said as his sharingan glowed ominously.

Waller was already on their knees, struggling to stay standing. The other two struggled to move a muscle or utter a word.

"K-kill…h-him…" she managed to say through the pressure.

From the corner of his eyes, he caught sight of captain Boomerang struggling to reach into his pocket.

Before he could get further, black flames burst into existence on his head, the flames growing as it engulfed his body.

It all happened too fast for him to even let out a scream as even his ashes weren't spared.

Amanda Waller could count the times she felt afraid on one hand and out of all of them, this was ranked at the top.

Upon a close and painful inspection she then noticed that unlike her and the late captain Boomerang, the masked man wasn't standing still out of fear.

It wasn't that he was resisting it, it was that none of it was directed towards him. "W-what….are you…w-waiting…for? K-kill him…"

When the man didn't make any move to obey her orders, her anger surged. Though she was in pain, she didn't hesitate to threaten him.

"If you…d-don't obey…that bomb is…going to t-take…you head…o-off." Her words were a mixture of grunts of pain and actual words.

Even her obese stature didn't save her from the pain she felt. The masked man slowly turned to her, the first action he had made since Sora entered the room.

"Why? You didn't keep your end of the deal, why should I obey your orders?" His muffled voice came from behind the mask.

As the woman grit her teeth, using all her strength in an attempt to push herself up to her feet, Sora frowned, the pressure increasing.

The sudden increase in pressure caused her face to smash into the ground, her nose bending out of shape and split skin all over her lip and face.

"What gave you the assumption that you could stand? I'm still here and your punishment has only begun." Sora said, a bit of his suppressed anger leaking.

Anger that he had long since pushed away rushed back into his system. A thirst for revenge came along with it.

While digging up everything he could about Waller, he found more than a few things that didn't make sense, sparking his curiosity. He followed the trails to different illegal activities, national and international but he didn't care about those.

It was what he found next that spurred this little 'visit'. "Did you really think you could get away with it? That I wouldn't find out?" Sora asked as a cracking sound was heard.

*CRACK!*

"Aaahhhhhh!!" The sound of Amanda's cracking bones was accompanied by her screams of pain.

To the side, the masked man pulled off the mask, revealing a young man with black hair tied in a low ponytail, jet black eyes and a calm face.

A small smile played on the man's lips as he turned to Sora. "I've been waiting for you, Sora."

Sora's lips almost trembled with emotion before stretching into a small smirk. "It's been a while…brother."
