Chapter 20

Yang Rai came out of the meditative state and opened his eyes to see the face of the giant man from earlier just staring at him. It felt like he was trying to stare into his soul.

"Apologies Seniors. I couldn't suppress the advancement when I sensed the great emperor's presence."

"Ahahaha, So you're the one that had that Baptism. I was wondering who that could have been. Hey Yang Kai, who is this young man who came with you?"

"Senior Martial Beast, this is my younger brother. I just brought him to the star boundary not too long ago."

"Senior Martial Beast, I am Yang Rai."

"I see, another genius born from your family. I might have to meet these parents of yours. On that note a team is being created to rescue the kidnapped. I assume that's why you're here."

"Yes, I wasn't able to do anything but escape before. A pseudo-Great Emperor was behind it. I feel ashamed and am here to lend a hand to make amends."

"I'm here to help as well."

"Young Rai, your brother is strong enough to handle this but you might find yourself in a bit of peril. Are you certain about this? If you can prove your strength then I'll allow it."

"As you wish."

Yang Rai began to release his power. The Great emperor put his hand out as a target. Yang Rai hit the palm of his hand with a regular level attack. It bent the great emperor's arm at the elbow. And stunned him for a moment. Martial Beast was astounded by the strength he just felt.

"How was that, Senior?"

"I'll allow you to join the team. That was impressive."

With all of those things set the team left to the western territory in an attempt to rescue the kidnapped people. When they arrived it was quickly found out that demons were involved. There was a void corridor to another world. It felt ominous but Yang Rai could sense that the kidnapped people were in there. The team went in and found the group after a while and rescued them. Yang Rai freed Lan Xun from her bindings.

"I am Yang Rai, you're safe now."

"Thank you for rescuing us. I must say it is surprising they sent a dao source Realm."

"My brother was personally tested by Sir Martial Beast. He is strong enough to help and I owe him a great deal."

"I see, well then if Yang Kai says it then you must be a genius. I apologize if I offended you."

"Pay it no mind, I'm used to it at this point. I'm glad you're unharmed, such a beautiful woman doesn't deserve this injustice."

Lan Xun blushed slightly. All of a sudden there was another person in the same generation that likely didn't have any betrothed yet. It wasn't much longer till the Great Emperors and Demon Saints started fighting.
