Resumen

Idk, it’s an attempt at making a powersystem that is vivid, lifelike, adds a touch of magic while remaining mostly rooted in logic, has limitations, costs, different uses, wierd quirks you have to consider, backlashes if you make mistakes, the backlash being a natural cause of what happened and not just spitting blood and becoming pale, complex combinations, different levels of proficiency within different categories, an overall substance that fuels the whole system overlaid the mortal world, items neccecary to maintain for some cost that will help you conduce that power, and so on and so forth, if you want to use the powersystem i invent here for your own use, you are free to, aslong as you credit me for it in your synopsis. As for the power scale; it is not confirmed yet, but due to the general knowledge of the world, it is assumed that while excrutiatingly difficult to attain, eternal life should be possible. This is the kind of eternal life where no outside force can affect your lifespan and no inside force can affect it either, you can get pretty close to omniscience, but it will never be perfect, and as for omnipotence? Just like omniscience, it will never be perfect, but you can get pretty close, after all the concept of omniscience and omnipotence are self-defeating. So this power system is for novels with characters that want to be immortal, once you reach a certain level you can’t get off the tigers back, as the chinese sometimes say, this means it’s very hard to stop cultivating if you want to survive, and even still, it is hard to survive even if you want to survive. Uhh there is also a bunch of other stuff there, like just cause i wanted to write and had nowhere else to put it.

Chapter 1Core Substance

First off; the substance that humans actually manipulate.

I will call it subs- as in substance... for now.(maybe permanently, idk)

Subs are normally invisible to the eye, but there are methods to investigate them, and if enough of the same subs type gather it will give off a weak aura noticeable by people cultivating that or a similar subs. Subs are a phenomenon that has no actual weight, but consists of individual substances that attach to atoms and give them different attributes or modify their existing attributes.

Subs can evolve into world subs of different kinds(concentrated materials), world subs are usually concentrated into an item using a complex and very taxing method(that can easily fail if done wrong, if it fails the backlash can injure the Master in different ways depending on different factors), in order to stimulate the effects the World Master wants from his surroundings in an easier manner - these items are referred to as World Items, and are usually very rare; once it reaches a certain level of power it will have gathered so many subs in a specific pattern that it becomes impossible to make another at the same or higher powerlevel with the same effects, without using the original world item as a material to make the new one, or destroying the original one before making the new one.

There is no end to the mystical effects achievable through different World Items, just limits to the level of the effect according to the level of the world item. And just like there is no end to the effects, if the effect is overly mystical the cost is also not orthodox like other World Items, it might consume things like lifespan, cultivation, air, life (as in multiple lives, the Master, several Masters or just Several mortal lives.), water, time, maybe even affecting your personality, taking away a specific kind of emotion or other, or feeding off of that emotion(not completely consuming it but eating some of it)- or you might not even notice any cost for exciting the World Item, but there is always a cost, no matter what.

So once world items reach a certain level they become unique, though the same effect can be achieved through other world items used in a complex combo, but this method undoubtedly consumes more. Once Masters reach the same level they are referred to as Master Magi.

The World Items of this level are usually referred to as World Spirits or just Spirits normally, once they reach this level they will develop a small amount of intelligence, this intelligence is part of why wild Spirits are hard to catch, and why Bound Spirits actively help their master to perform combos or cultivate. World Items that are imprinted with the Masters will but not bound is controlled by their Masters will , once they become spirits they will follow the Masters will, but wont actively help or hinder the master.

World Items can exist in the wild or have a Masters will imprinted on them.

Masters can also create a life bond with a World Item, which lends a lot of resilience to it if the upgrade of it fails or similar things happen,it also adds more power to the World Item when used by the Bound Master. The Bound Master gains more subs within the Bound Items category when upgrading cultivation base level(and generally when getting stronger within the specific category) and by passing the tribulation(especially during the tribulation!the tribulation is a moments crisis for a future of wealth.)

The bound item cannot be changed without experiencing fierce backlash according to the type of World Item; the bound World Item will break and the backlash is usually fatal if experienced recklessly, and if contained it might still jeopardize the cultivation of the Master, this of course also depends on the World Item itself.

Generally the Bound Item of a master should be at the same level of the master, if it is higher the cost of urging it increases a lot(usually, exceptions to the rule make the world more vivid and magical, if i write «usually» in parenthesis later on this is what i mean.), if it is lower, the effect is just that; as low as its' level plus the modifyer that is the inherent subs in the cultivator, and therefore has a reduced use for the cultivator.

To conclude, subs is the manipulated substance, it is manipulated through Items and Spirits(capitalized first letter incase the sentences' context might confuse the reader), Masters and Master Magi alike have to watch out for three aspects when it comes to these items and spirits;

How to use them(Combo moves, formations, lasting effects, and so on.)

The cost of using them(you have to «feed» them every now and then so it doesen't degrade over time, «feeding» them is not straight forward at all, it costs to excite them, and there are costs in imprinting your will on them.)

And how to make and upgrade them.(very complex and tiring process in the first place, which will fail and backlash if done wrong, and sometimes fail for seemingly no particular reason at all. That is if you can even get a recipe, if you can't get a recipe you have to make one; something that is both laborious, hard, and expensive. At the end of it all, even just making it can become pretty expensive depending on the recipe and level of it.)

The Author's POV

The person whom the world revolves around. The person who defeats all of his opponents, and ultimately gets the beautiful girl. The sole existence all villains fear. That is the protagonist. What about me? As a failed author who had only one success throughout his whole career, I had reincarnated into my late novel. "This is it" I thought, as I tightly clenched my fist. Did I just get reincarnated in my own novel? Is this where I reincarnate in a novel and become the protagonist? No. Sadly it's not that kind of novel, as I reincarnated as a mob. The world doesn't revolve around me. The girls don't come flocking towards me. The cheat items don't come to me. "Phew" I let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god I'm not the protagonist" I joyfully shouted as tears streamed down my cheeks. Wait, are you curious as to why I don't want to be the protagonist? I did forget to mention the most important thing when I was describing a protagonist. That is... They are calamity magnets. I just died. If I learned something from that, it's that it really isn't a pleasant experience. If possible let me live a long stable life. Thank you, whoever reincarnated me. I would later come to regret these words... ======== Reader Disclaimer : Please read the *Read before reading novel* in synopsis. ======== Credit to _oinkchan for helping me find the previous novel cover Credit to Rengoku for his amazing edit of the new cover. ======== Discord : https://discord.gg/FNAKgfyky4 Patreon : https://www.patreon.com/TheAuthorPOV

Disclaimer: I'd received a few complaints from some readers that my MC is not a real villain, and I have to agree; if you're looking for some complete psycho MC who burns random farmer villages down just for fun then don't read. The MC is a ruthless man who does evil things from time to time, but only to his enemies or those he considers to be true scum. He gains no joy from tormenting strangers. Also don't read if you want a story about buying s*x slaves and r*ping them, that doesn't happen in this novel. He will treat the women he wants to be with as if they were normal people, whether they're slaves or not.

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR
