Bryce returned a couple of minutes later with a glass of water and the promised medicine and helped Jenna sit up so she could take it without the water splashing all over her face. She didn't understand why he was being so tender with her when she had accidentally ruined his first ever Father's Day breakfast in bed.
"Thanks," she said quietly. "We're supposed to be at the cemetery at three so if I'm not awake before then—"
"I'll wake you up. Don't worry. Get some sleep, okay?"
Wesley came forward and planted a kiss on her head. "There. All better!"
Jenna cracked a smile despite her pain. She always kissed his injuries and it seemed he was trying to return the favor. "Thanks, baby."
"You too, Dad! Double kisses means double healing power."
