Jonas Mitchell had not taken the news about Shaw's trial well. Finding out he got off from the news was bad enough but then he had to wait until Monday when Jenna normally called their mother to hear anything else.
He specifically ditched class to be there and was able to be on the video call with all the kids and their mom as she tearfully told them what life would look like for her now. Since she was no longer part of an active case things were going to be different than before.
Her alias was secure so her case agent would only check in with her when she needed something. This meant their phone calls would be practically nonexistent.
