Witch (Horror)

The monster was sitting on the living room furniture across from me. She watched me without moving and I waited to see what would happen next. The heavy curtains moved occasionally under the rush of fresh night air. The darkness of the night brought her to me. I knew this was not going to end well. She hadn't been defeated by a special unit from the Soviet Union. Neither did other adventurers or police forces from the USSR. The ground was caving in on them and the regime was trying to cover up these events at all costs. But the cases of missing children multiplied like mushrooms after rain. There was no end to this suffering of the inhabitants of our town. The parents of the children were desperate, afraid to let them go to school in the morning. Every day they worried that they would never see their children again. How could I have thought that I would be able to do it?! That I would triumph over that inhuman monster from hell itself?! I found the skeleton of little Helen in the mud and dirt. A red pioneer scarf, moreover, confirmed her identity. It was only when the Internationale sounded in the distance in the dark cave that I realized that I was where Helen, the girl in the pioneer's brace and my heart's affair, had ended up. This would be the final halt of my courage and determination. There was a loud hiss behind my back, and a powerful inhuman hand with long fingers and claws at their ends clawed at my throat.
