Chapter 7: Follow Me

I just remembered, I had plans with Gangzi tonight. Rubbing my tired head, I somewhat apologetically said to Gangzi, "Sorry, bro, something came up last minute. Tomorrow I'll treat you to a meal; you can pick any restaurant in Shangyang City."

Gangzi didn't seem to mind, "No worries, take care of what you need to first, we can hang out tomorrow. Watch how I'll eat you out of house and home."

I smiled. Gangzi had been a close friend since college and always looked out for me in life. Back when I was so broke I couldn't afford meals, it was Gangzi who'd secretly help me out, bringing me back half a serving of spicy hot pot or some boxed lunches.

Even though Gangzi always said they were leftovers, I knew in my heart he was just looking out for my pride.

Min'er could see I was relieved after hanging up and didn't bother me. Once I was done with the call, she teased, "Skipped out on your friend, huh?"

I replied helplessly, "Couldn't help it, who knew you guys would run into trouble. But now that you're back, you should rest up after eating. Today, Yu Fei is in your hands."

Min'er nodded, "Don't worry, I'll take good care of Yufei. You should get some rest early too, Wen."

I didn't stand on ceremony and went back to my bedroom to crash.

The next morning, when I woke up, I found that Yu Fei had not left the house yet. She probably wouldn't wake up for a while, so I changed into some sportswear and went out to buy some breakfast from a local shop before heading back home.

When I got home, Min'er was just coming out of the bedroom. She smiled at me as I entered, then sat down at the table.

It seemed Min'er didn't mind having a man at home; she was still wearing the same outfit as last night. Her long, white legs crossed under the table, carefully concealing the more private areas.

Honestly, seeing those long, white legs first thing in the morning was quite a temptation for me, a guy who hasn't yet experienced a woman's touch—but since she was Yu Fei's woman, I didn't dare make a move.

Resigned, I placed the breakfast on the table, and Min'er didn't stand on ceremony either; she just started eating.

Yu Fei walked out of the room, and I turned my head to look. My mind went blank.

At that moment, Yu Fei was topless, wearing only a pair of panties. Her bare body was exposed.

I couldn't swallow my mouthful of soy milk and ended up spraying it out. Yu Fei seemed to notice me for the first time then, and she let out a piercing scream at the sight of me.

Yu Fei ran back into the bedroom as if fleeing. I was a bit scared, thinking if she would kill me for having seen her like that.

Meanwhile, Min'er chuckled, "It's fine, I was the one who undressed Yufei."

I looked at Min'er with a mournful expression, "I know, but I saw something I shouldn't have. I'm afraid my eyes will be gouged out."

Soon enough, Yu Fei came out wearing a bathrobe. Her face dark, she hissed, "You dog, see if I don't blind you!" as she charged at me.

Thankfully, Min'er stopped her in time, "Don't be like that, Yufei. Wen saved you yesterday and even prepared breakfast. It's not that serious."

Yu Fei managed to calm down a bit and sat next to Min'er to eat breakfast, but her gaze stayed fixed on me, as if trying to burn holes through me.

I ate nervously, with Yu Fei sitting cold-faced opposite me, "Spill it, you were following me yesterday, weren't you?"

I was stunned, "Why would I follow you?"

Yu Fei's expression turned even colder, "You won't admit it? If you weren't following me, how did you just happen to be there when I was in danger?"

I sighed, "Honestly, I thought it was quite a coincidence too." I took out my phone, pulled up the chat with Gangzi, and handed it to Yu Fei, "My friend came to Shangyang City yesterday, and we were supposed to meet at Honey Peach KTV. It was just a chance that I ran into you."

Yu Fei took the phone with some skepticism, scrutinizing our chat. Her expression finally eased.

"Fine, let's just say it was accidental. Remember, you're not allowed to follow me. If I catch you, you'll be in breach of contract." Yu Fei was still frosty but her attitude was much improved.

Without further ado, Yu Fei turned and left again.

The next morning, as soon as I arrived at the tea house, I noticed a girl sitting by the window.

I was surprised to see that there were no tea masters around, so I checked with the staff and found out that the tea masters on the first floor had all been called to the second floor and a few were on leave.

Looking at the girl on the first floor, I swallowed hard. Although I had never served a guest on my own, I braced myself and approached her.

It was only when I got closer that I realized she was an aloof woman. I smiled and asked, "Miss, do you have a preferred type of tea?"

The woman raised an eyebrow, "Longjing will do." I nodded and sat down opposite the beauty to start brewing tea.
