A wedding dress worth 500 Million won
"This dress is not for sale. Some other customer has already purchased this dress, not a few minutes back. I was going to ask my staff to remove this dress from the model." Zhou Bingbing spoke quite professionally.
Very expertly she hid her ill intention behind her eyes. A smirk was itching to escape her lips.
Fan Yifeng looked at Qin Yutong. She was looking at the dress longingly. His heart squeezed, seeing the wretched expression on her face. He didn't wish to make the mother of his child sad.
"Yifeng, I will marry only once, and I want to wear the best at my wedding and this dress is the best." Her voice was heavy and emotional. "Please buy this dress for me."
Qin Yutong flattered her eyes. She emotionally looked at him. She knew this expression of hers was the weakness of Fan Yifeng. Her sadness always made his heart melt for her.
Fan Yifeng nodded and then looked at Zhou Bingbing. "Look, miss Zhou, I am a billionaire and there is nothing which I cannot purchase. My fiancé likes this dress very much and I will buy it at any cost."
"We will pay double for this dress." Qin Yutong offered.
Fan Yifeng started to sign a blank check but stopped when he heard the next words of Zhou BingBing, "Double? Are you sure you want to buy this dress for 500 million won? My client specially came from London and offered me a price of two million pounds."
A conflicted expression appeared on the face of Fan Yifeng. This dress was not worth this much. He looked at Qin Yutong clinging to him and then at the staff and other customers present in the shop.
He just declared that he could buy anything. And now, if he did not stand on his promise then all the staff and customers were going to make a joke of him. It will be a shame on his name of Fan.
'What's 500 million won for me? I can earn it anytime. It's not a bigger amount than my reputation and happiness of Yutong.'
And with that, with a heavy heart, Fan Yifeng signed a cheque of 500 million won.
"Mister Fan, sorry to say but I will not accept cheque payment from you. I am afraid, it will bounce." Zhou Bingbing denied the cheque forwarded toward her by Fan Yifeng.
"Do you know who I am? How dare of you to say that my cheque will bounce?" Fan Yifeng gritted his teeth, feeling angry at the designer who was mocking them from the time they had entered her shop.
"I have no ill intention. A week back, a lady came into our shop, claiming to be your mother-in-law. Not only were her cards blocked but her cheque also bounced. We were lucky that she left her dresses with us for alteration. Otherwise, we'd have faced a huge loss because of her."
Fan Yifeng froze and then looked at Qin Yutong. "Not possible."
"If you do not trust me, I can ask someone to show you the photo of that lady. We keep a photo of our clients in our records."
Zhou Bingbing then asked her staff to retrieve the photo of Huang Jiayi, mother of Qin Yutong. Qin Yutong and Fan Yifeng both froze when they saw the photo.
Fan Yifeng's jaw clenched and he glared at his mother-in-law's photo. He then looked at Qin Yutong for an explanation.
"Yifeng, mom is excited about our marriage. That is why she is buying some new dresses." Qin Yutong quickly made an excuse for her mother.
Inside, she was gritting her teeth and cursing her mother. Fan Yifeng was helping their family in their hard times. He already made it clear to them to not be spendthrift, but her stupid mother was doing wasteful shopping.
He was already bearing the financial burden of the Qin corporation. He did not want to add the burden of their extravagant expenses on his shoulders.
"Ok, I will pay using my card." Fan Yifeng gritted out, thinking about his father's word who reported to him that Qin corporation was hollow from the inside. They were on the brick of bankruptcy. But he did not believe his word.
Zhou Bingbing was feeling bad that she was selling her masterpiece to Fan Yifeng and Qin Yutong, but she was also satisfied with the price which she was fetching from that dress.
"Miss, my staff will take your size for the dress."
After giving her size, Qin Yutong left the shop of Zhou Bingbing with Fan Yifeng. She knew very well that she would need to coax Fan Yifeng. Already their marriage had many hurdles because of her career and the disliking of his parents toward her.
