The Beta's Suspicions [1]

When Carl asked that, Angelo just shrugged it off. It was not news that Hera put everything else before her safety. It was almost like she was obsessed with Alexei being safe.

Maybe it was the result of the traumatic childhood she had. But Angelo had also experienced the same.

Maybe it was her way of coping, but why did it feel like this was not just Carl his brother and friend talking but he was talking as the beta of Alexei? What could have made him so sure that there was more to Hera and her sudden prison?

Anyone knew the white wolf could do more damage than the silver wolf when they were fully mated. Maybe that was just a precaution.

Angelo hated it, but there was nothing he would ever be able to do to make Hera understand. So, he would let her be. He would protect her from a distance. He would make life better for her and love her like she deserved to be.
