Adira pushed the trash towards the trash bin. Tired, she sat on a tiled floor to gain her strength.
She pressed her back pocket. She wanted to calculate the exact amount she had made, having worked for two days.
She took out the money and counted them. She hissed at the amount she realized. It wasn't enough for her to find her way home.
Her hands pressed the necklace around her neck. The necklace had been on her neck since she can remember. It was the only memory of her mum. She hated the thoughts that were in her mind, but there was nothing she could do about it.
She bent her neck and unhooked the necklace. Taking a good glance at it, she noticed a stone in the middle of the necklace. She loved the glitter, and wished she could keep it some more. But she was in dire need of money.
She got up from where she was seated and continued with her work.
