Kira sat on the ground, his head in his hands as he tried to process what had just happened. It had all happened so fast. One minute he was leading a normal, mundane life in the slums, and the next, he was being attacked by a group of unknown assailants. They had taken everything from him - his family, his home, his possessions - and then left him to die in the slums, his mana circuits shattered beyond repair.
