He's her darkest fairytale, She's his twisted fantasy. In the vast Kingdom of Valcresh were Humans and Vampires cohabit, ruled by the devious and tyrannical Vampire King, who has implored terror on both kinds. He's feared and dreaded within the whole Kingdom. Coupled with this, came the rumors spreading about him being hideous, ugly and cursed. Hence, his reason for ruling in the dark without anyone having to see his face. To the horror of the people of Valcresh, one day, a Royal missive was spread throughout the Kingdom, stating an invitation of all the females of Valcresh at a marriageable age to attend a bride selection banquet, for the evil king to pick a bride. Unfortunately, even the commoners weren't spared this terror. Marlowe, a village maiden who in spite of the assurance given to her by her father, and all it took to convince her to attend this event, lest she suffer dire consequences for disobedience of the Royal order, still harbored doubts and fear in mind. Leading her to get lost during a deliberate planned slaughter. There she encountered a mysterious red eyed man, claiming to be a guard of the Royal Palace. Uncertain at first but decided to accept his help of taking her out of the forest in which she got lost. Yet, struck by misfortune, she was betrayed, and captured again, and immediately married off to the ruthless, ugly Vampire King at midnight. With a strong zeal to escape the confinement of the four walls of her beautiful cage, Marlowe began hatching plans to break free. But what happens when she slowly gets addicted to the midnight touches, and caresses she has been getting every night in her dreams? Since she was married into the Castle, she had never set eyes on her Husband, the King. But only heard about him. Quite mysterious to her. What was more mysterious, was the warm yet cold presence she'd always feel by her side at night during her sleep. The foreign yet gentle touches, and the husky, yet alluring voice. But by morning, it'll all be gone, as though it never happened. As though…it was a dream. As time went by, Marlowe found herself conflicted in her perfect plans of escape. Will she run away, or find that the evil Vampire King was not as vicious as they painted him to be? Will she discover that he's just a beautiful dream in the guise of a nightmare?
