CHAPTER 16

CHAPTER 16

CHARLES LINDBERG NOLAN was a highly decorated US Navy officer, he was just an eighteen year old rookie when he served his country in Vietnam, coincidentally, when he got there, it was only to help withdraw the soldiers, which made him extremely angry.

He wanted more action than simply picking up the cowardly asses that didn't bring victory to his country...

The years passed without major inconveniences, his promotions came more politically than by merit on the field, but he knew that the cycle of wars always fed the system and it didn't take that long before he was finally called to action.

He commanded as a Major in the war in the Middle East and when he returned as a hero he was invited to head an FBI team by the President in office at the time, who wanted to inspire the new generation of agents and so he went from success to success until he reached the maximum post, but just like in Vietnam, less than twenty-four hours after he took over as Director of the FBI, that attack takes place.

***

NOLAN ENTERED his office and threw a piece of marble that was on top of his desk on the wall, shattering the object.

— Damn it! There's no way this is happening again, just today!!!

The phone rang and he answered:

— What is it now? he shouted.

— Charles, it's me.

— I'm sorry, Mr President, I...

The president interrupted him.

— I don't know if you've seen the news, but I believe I already know who's behind the robbery.

Nolan turned on the television and saw on almost every channel about Adolf Hitler's ghostly appearance at the football game.

— Charles, get everything ready, because we're on the brink of a Third World War, and this time they 're the ones who stole our secret weapon.
