Chapter 1: The Future Camera: Max's Story

Hi I'm Max, I'm 17 and attend Harmony College. I've always been intruiged by mythology but never actually believed in it before my first day back at college. I am Non Binary and go by the they/them pronouns and I love photography, so when my mom got me this new camera I was thrilled, but I wouldn't be here if I was just a normal photography student... So here is my side of the story

"Mom I'm off! Love you bye!" I say quickly before rushing out the house, my mom is nice and all but a lot to handle. I ran to college and sat down in my class. Everyone staring at me and I didn't understand why. Then I saw my shirt, I was in my pjamas. I smiled and acted like it was something I did on purpose and everyone got back to their studying. Everyone in this class were kind and supportive people, and that's why I enjoy this place! Makes me feel safe. Then there's the teacher, Mr Story. He purposefully misgenders me and makes me extremely uncomfortable. He enters the classroom. "Miss Cole, why are you wearing Pjamas to class?" He said. Miss... he knows by now I don't go by she/her anymore but he's always calling me a girl... Should I say something?
