B: Jess followed him quietly. She did not make a move to touch him nor speak to him. When they entered the rich part of the city she smiled. This is where she had wanted to live when she was trying to become a mundane. As he knocked, she deactivated her runes and waited with him. When the door opened, she expected it to be this Belle chick, but it was an older maid. She smiled at her until she said welcome back to Isaac. Then she frowned.
Slowly she followed Isaac into the house and as she walked, she looked around. It was a well-furnished house, not to her surprise. Jess noticed that Isaac knew where he was going. When he took her hand, she pulled it away but stayed close to him. She did not want to hold his hand nor touch him. They were not a couple nor would they act like it.
When they entered the room and she saw the sick woman she looked around to see if there was another girl in the room. This sick woman could not be this Belle everyone raves about with anger. She was so weak and sick. She looked like a grandmother who was about to pass away. She knew that was mean but that was the only thing she could think of.
When she spoke Jess looked at her. She was dying, that was clear. What could she be dying of? She looked a little older than her but not by much. She thought to herself. When Isaac spoke Jess just stood there. When they spoke to each other and she mentioned he had not come in a while, a week. So, he lied. He has been seeing her. He lied to everyone at the institute. She thought as she shook her head.
As she spoke to her she looked back at her. "No, I am here for support. Nothing more. I am a fellow hunter. We were hunting partners, but I am leaving for Paris tomorrow. I am needed there more than I am here." She said as kindly as she could. She spoke to Belle softly and sweetly, but she looked at Isaac with cool eyes. When the woman spoke, Jess nodded.
Jess stood there controlling herself as Isaac told her that he missed her and all the things they used to do. She clinched her fists but held it together. As they spoke, she lost all anger. All she wanted was forgiveness. All Isaac wanted was to help her. But Jess knew if Belle came back and healed Isaac would go back to her. She was his first love and first everything, that is a strong bond. Jess knew that.
When Belle asked for him to take his memories she gasped softly. When she said those word after she started to cry. She covered it up with a cough and wiped her eyes. When they left Jess saw Isaac start to cry. This broke her heart. She hugged him and he said thank you to her. She nodded and cried silently with him.
She regained her strength and dried her face on his shirt making it seem like she was pushing him away softly. "Isaac, we need to get back. You need rest and I have my goodbyes to say. We were here longer than I thought we would be. I have three hours till I leave. It does not matter what anyone says or tries to do I have to go. I will return in three to four years, but I will be different. I may not be the same girl you loved." She said to him softly. It was the first time since their fight she looked at him with sadness and love.
I: Isaac knew that Jess believed his kindness and honesty to Belle was love. It wasn't. It was very different. Belle could never love Isaac properly. She could never put their love before her own selfish needs. That alone made Zack unable to ever love Belle again. But Jess was still leaving. She was still leaving!
"I will take you home now then." He got back into the car and began to drive back to the institute.
Then the car began to take another route. Isaac drove to his loft instead. He placed his hands on the wheel and looked at her. "I made one more promise to you Jess. I promised I would make love to you tonight. I swore it. I made an oath to love your heart, your soul and your body. I want to show you that you can't leave me. You can't leave me this way. Please stay Jess. Just a little longer with me. Let me prove to you that I can be the person you need. I will never go between you and Seth again. I will never not trust you. Please don't leave me Jess. I need you." He took her hand and held it. "Before you go, please be with me just once. I will let you go after if you must. And you don't have to return. I will find a way to move on."
B: Jess looked at him and then his loft. She knew he wanted to keep his promise, but she knew if she did, she would cancel her plans. She already had. She couldn't go to Paris, not after tonight. She knew that she loved Isaac and she knew she needed to fix this between them. She looked at him with a serious face. "Isaac." She spoke softly. She saw his face fall to sadness, and she smiled softly. "You and I need to talk before I just let you take my girly incense away." She smiled at him.
She got out of the car and walked to his loft and leaned against the wall and waited for him to open the door. "Well, come on. Let's go fix this stupidness between us and then I will let you deflower me." She giggled and looked at him. She knew she wanted this even with the fight.
I: Isaac looked up at Jess and he had to admit he was happy she wanted to talk. But the happiness died when he realized she was still going to leave him. She was still...going to leave.
Isaac walked to the loft and opened it and let her inside. He closed the door behind her and went to remove his jacket, he took a seat on the couch and sighed. "I must have looked weak to you crying like that." He said more to himself than to her. "For so long I hated her, wished she would pay for her mistakes. I wished she would suffer as Derek suffered. Now I see that she has paid for what she's done and is just so sad. Now she can't even recall time. I had not visited her in over two years, yet she looks at me as if I was there yesterday. What did you want to discuss? I feel like a pervert now, boldly saying I wanted to screw you. That isn't what I meant so I am sorry it sounded that way. So, talk to me."
B: She listened to him as she walked over the chair and plopped down. "Isaac, crying is not weak. It is a sign of trust." She pointed out to him. "And I wanted to talk about us and where we stand right now." she said as she leaned towards him. "Isaac when we fought, I felt you did not trust me. You attacked me and my brother. Neither one of us need help. We got the help we need. Anger just runs in our family. You can't just assume that one time I blow up means I need help. And as far as I know Seth has only blown up once on you and that was because he was terrified you would take advantage of all this hot mess." She said as she motioned to her body.
"Anyways Isaac, I want us to work, I really do but when you attacked me like that, I felt you were not in love with me and were in love with the idea of little shy me. That is not all I am. Isaac, I have tried for so long to find someone to accept me for who I am. I found you and I trusted you and when you started to yell at me, I felt you were kicking me in the heart. Isaac, I can't be with you if you are going to act like that. As much as it hurts to say that it is true. I can't be with someone that attacks me when I get like that. I have a temper of a bull. If threatened I will attack back. I need you to understand that." She said moving to the couch next to him.
"Isaac, I love you so much and I have accepted everything about you. From the harsh tone you speak to me in sometimes, to the times when you want to make love to me. I need you to accept me for all I am, or we are not going to work. And if you can't accept me for who I am tell me now before I give myself to you fully." She said looking it his eyes.
I: "I can accept you Jess, I already have." he held his tongue. It was clear that Jess did not want to hear what Isaac had to say even after he continued to attempt to tell her the truth. Before he would have said it and not cared if she liked it or wanted to hear it or not because it was the truth. She had a temper yes, but she jumped from anger all the way to wanting to leave him permanently and dropping their love as if it was nothing worth fighting for.
Isaac didn't want to fight her anymore. He didn't want to remind her about her anger not being the problem, it was the fact that love with him was nothing to her. If ever something came up again, one bad word about Seth would be a deal breaker and she wouldn't care to try to fix it. This relationship was doomed from the beginning, because Isaac was an idiot and Jess was as she said, a bull.
He had to just let her go. "What I believe and what I am opinionated about, no, longer is worth the fight Jess. I don't want to lose you over something like this, so I won't go into that blindly. I love you as you are, and I am sorry to say you and Seth need help. We don't have to have sex, it just doesn't feel right making you do it. I think you should go to the Institute in Paris and love the life you feel you deserve."
