The day it all began

Monday, that is the beginning of the most melancholy day of the week. Many people would sigh upon thinking about the start of a new week, while recalling about paradise that is yesterday.

Kazuto Makise is not an exception either but his situation is not as simple. Even from childhood he was too intelligent and mature for his own age. Because of that he didn't make much friends in childhood.

When Kazuto was 14 years old his parents passed away in a car accident. After this incident his mother's relative became his guardian but due to kazuto's request he was allowed to stay in his parents house, on the condition that he visits his aunt from time to time.

After the death of his parents he gradually started to change. Slowly, he stopped interacting with most of his classmates and would only talk or interact when needed. He would mostly have an indifferent face. It's not that he is indifferent to everything but it's just that he doesn't like to show his emotions much to others. Although there are some exceptions.

Kazuto arrived at the school before the bell rang and opened the classroom door.

At that moment, most of the students looked at him for a moment and continued their own works. While some female students looked at him for a little longer and again began being busy with the things they were doing.

Kazuto had an purple coloured hair with golden eyes, and a athletic body. He was one of the most handsome guys in school, and he also had gained a nickname called ice prince, much to his displeasure. It was a daily occurence for him to receive love letters and being stared by girls. So, he just ignored them and walked towards his own seat. The students near his seat looked at him and greeted him.

"Good morning! , Makise-san."

He just nodded at them and began to take out his things from his backpack. After a while, the classroom door once again opened and a black haired teen entered the classroom.

Many male students in the clicked their tongues and started glaring at him just like usual. And like always, he was being made fun of in the classroom by Hiyama, Saito, konoda, reiichi, and nakano.

The main cause of this bullying and also one of the two goddesses of this school came to greet him. While she was talking with him, most of the males in classroom started showing jealousy and hatred. It was because according to them, even though he does nothing especial, he was always given extra attention by her.

Afterwards, he was again greeted by two good looking guys and one girl. The girl's name was Yaegashi Shizuku, she was the best friend of the girl who was next to hajime named kaori.

The boy with dark brown hair and handsome face was called Amanogawa Kouki. Living up to his name, he was someone who was superhumanly good at sports and grades. Next to him stood his best friend Sakagami Ryutaro. He has trimmed hair and is always cheerful, hardworking and hot-blooded man.

Afterwards, the bell that signals the first class had resounded, and the teacher entered the classroom.

Before going to her own seat, shizuku turned towards kazuto and greeted him with a smile and nod. He also nodded at her and started focusing on the teacher who was taking the attendance of the students.

It was lunchtime and the number of students in the classroom decreased a lot. Even so, majority of the students had a lunchbox like Kazuto, so two thirds of the students and their social teacher was still in the classroom.

Kazuto also took out his lunchbox and started opening it. Because he was living alone, his food was prepared by himself. Cooking is one of the things he likes to do, which is why his food tastes really good.

Just as he opened his lunchbox, someone sat on the seat next to him. It was none other than shizuku and she has also brought her own lunchbox. Shizuku used her chopstick to take some food from kazuto's lunchbox and started eating it.

"Delicious!!, Kazuto, no matter how many times I eat it, your food really tastes the best. I wonder if you can teach me how to cook food like you in the upcoming weekend?"

Asked shizuku as she has been thinking about trying cooking and Kazuto was the best cook she knew, even better than kaori.

"Hmm, if you really like it so much then I can teach you, but you have to come in my home in the afternoon if it's alright with you."

Kazuto replied while eating. After his parents death, kazuto had joined the Yaegashi Fencing Dojo, which was owned by Shizuki's parents. He had done so because he didn't want to stay at home all day long and he also liked swordsmanship. After one and a half year he was near to shizuku's level, who was equal to national athelthe. During those times he and shizuku became friends easily, mostly because shizuku is sharp, wise, intelligent, and doesn't need to explain much to grasp the situation.

While shizuku and kazuto started eating food, hajime, kaori, kouki, and ryutaro could be seen conversing with each other. Just as kazuto was moving his hand to the food, he noticed that he was unable to move.

In front of Kazuro, a pure white circle with complex design appeared just under Kouki's foot. Very soon, all the students around also noticed this abnormal situation. Everyone's attention was attracted by those brilliant patterns, they gazed at the thing that looked like a magic circle.

At the same time the magic circle was getting brighter, it instantly expanded to the size of an entire classroom. The abnormal situation gradually expanded under Kazuto's own foot. The students let out a wail after their stiff body gradually relaxed. Aiko-sensei who had been staying in the classroom until now immediately shouted, "Everyone! Leave the classroom!" However, just at the same time, the magic circle's light flickered as if it was about to explode.

After a few seconds or perhaps a few minutes, when that classroom which was enveloped by the snow white radiance returned to its original state, nobody was left in the classroom anymore. The chairs that fell on the ground, the lunchbox that was left open with half of the food remaining, the messy chopsticks and plastic bottles, all the classroom utensils were there, but not a single soul could be seen. This event — High School Students Spirited Away During the Daytime — caused huge uproar all over the world.
