Chapter 42: Hunter Exam Begin

~Third POV~

Jason has taken a few days off enjoying reconnecting with his friends he made in the Danaganronpa world to know how they were doing. Also, in his own time, he made up some stories about his time in the MHA world to only the kids since they would find it more fake than real.

In that time he also took some time to check on Chiaki along with her friends from the Neo Hope's Peak Academy to catch up with them.

Of course, also recover his title of Blank in the arcade much to the frustration of Chiaki that Jason took the top spots again. It was an intense gaming session for the two as they battled with the arcade games.

Another thing to note is that Jason also searched up where Junko and Mukuro were doing nowadays till he saw Junko still with her fashionista while her bigger sister is her bodyguard. Jason also attended their shows when viewing their newest fashion.

Upon their show Jason took the time to see them from backstage as Mukuro noticed someone viewing her sister as she was about to strike, she stopped in shock seeing him again although different the eyes were bright red from her memory.

Jason seeing her again smiles at her with actual joy as he spoke to her, "Hello again <Ultimate Soldier> or is it Mukuro Ikusaba nowadays. I see that you're supporting your sister again."

Preparing herself Mukuro steadily asked the <Ultimate Hope> with a shaky voice as she responded to him, "I-I see… of course I would support my sister… although she forgot who she was without her talent she stills has her wits on fashion. Also, you did tamper with our memories but… why did you leave mine with the least…"

Jason looked at the show that Junko was giving out the new dress as he smiles at that the scene as he responded to Mukuro with slight surprise, "Simple really, I guess you can say I had hope that you would be able to change Junko if you were interested in the world. And my gamble paid off that you two sisters changed I mean you have been enjoying your time being an older sister, right?"

Mukuro for her part blushed at that as he smiled at her. With that Jason began to leave as he waved his hand to leave while enjoying the show, "Well then I guess I don't have to worry about you two anymore. I hope you two have a good life… oh, yeah, I almost forgot the brats in Towa City would like to meet her again. They've been dying to know what their Big Sis Junko was doing. See ya…"

With Jason left the despair sisters enjoyed their new lives as he left the world to get ready for the next new adventure.

As he was all alone as well as he says his goodbyes to his friends and the kids in Towa City, he used the system as he began to get ready for the next world and a whole new level of experience.

[Travel: [Hunter X Hunter]

Destination: In Zaban City in front of the Restaurant that leads to the Hunter Exam.

Time: Before Gon and friends arrive there in less than an hour.]

With that, he vanished into thin air as Mukuro saw him vanish at the last second. She saw him vanish but chalked it up to seeing things as she went to bodyguard her sister again…

~Jason POV~

Then suddenly I was in front of a restaurant right next to a building of the Hunter building and other stores around me I smile finally being here as I spoke to myself, 'Finally I have arrived here in the Hunter X Hunter world. It's time I get that Hunter License as soon as possible then get Nen.'

Listening to the people nearby I can at least understand they speak the language of English thank god. But that also means my luck is up again I hope something bad doesn't happen.

But raising these flags like these won't help my case but I know it's unavoidable. Great…

Remembering the building from the anime I went inside the building and see the chief then I ask him, "Hey there sir I would like to place the order in the back."

Then I noticed the change in his emotion then he calmly says, "What would it be?"

I smiled calmly as I replied with no problem to the person in front of me, "Steak. Combo for one I want the Steak to grill slowly well done with low flame please."

*Click*

The chief replied happily and ask me to go in the back when I was there, I see a table and sit in while I was waiting, I heard the sound of the room going down I smiled at this and when I reached the bottom, I open the door to reveal other people here as well.

Then I see a short man with a jellybean head come up to me and say, "Hello please take your number badge and be sure to not lose it okay."

I nodded and I take the badge saying 403 I placed it on my shirt on the right side of my shirt and I can see most people here gauging me for my strength, so I just wave at them and leave it at that.

But still though what Nen ability should I focus on when I get my chance to create my ability? There are so many opportunities and many skills that can be created from it, but I should stick to one that would be useful.

I have versatile quirks on hand that work on the elements maybe I should work on physically based one or one of the OP character's abilities to use as a base for my Nen.

But with quirks <Scanning> and <Search> on the people here it can give me more details about them along with some of their brief bios. Might as well scout out the competition to see where I can go from here.

After that I hear the next three people come out of the elevator while I smile seeing the main protag of the series, 'About time they show up now the real show is about to begin.'

I see Gon in the flesh as a young boy with long spiky black green tipped hair and large, hazel brown eyes. His usual outfit is composed of a green jacket with reddish edges covering a black or white tank top underneath, green short shorts, and green, laced boots, and carrying a fishing rod.

Next to him is Kurapika has medium blond hair with dark/grey eyes; His eyes glow a beautiful and coveted scarlet when experiencing intense emotion, he wears a blue tabard decorated with an orange-colored hem and a white full-body training suit underneath it.

Next, is Leorio wearing a natural blue suit with his small suitcase supplying him with many kinds of medicine he needs as well as having his knife weapon inside?

I see that Leorio has 404, Kurapika 405, and Gon has 406 of their badges looks like they are happy to arrive on time then I see that trash Tompa going over to them talking about who came here before.

I didn't bother to say anything to them as I was busy with my own goals and so where the rest of the participates here. I may have liked the Hunter X Hunter as an anime and manga for the interesting way it was used but in real life hell no for the reasons that the characters here are dark when they needed to be from an outside perspective.

An example of this would be Gon the protagonist as his only reason for becoming a Hunter was to see his father unlike most kids his age, he seems to be more greedy for his goal unless you're his friend.

I mean there have been clear examples of this in the exam as he let someone get hunted to get killed by Hisoka to get his badge he had no problem with that as long as it helps his goals. No one here is as innocent as it was seen in all social media entertainment.

It's best to be on my own for the time being or unless I interfere with some things when needed like that brief encounter with Hisoka against the other people here.

"Ahh!"

That was when I heard screaming from a guy missing their arms from the battle manic himself Hisoka as he looks towards his direction at me as he looks at my direction giving licking his lips in anticipation.

I felt a shiver down my spine when he looked at me but also the same sense of glee that he noticed me, 'Fuck! Why do I have to attract that crazy bastard… but why does he have to be the only option for me to unlock Nen if I promised him a fight. Fuck my shitty and great luck…'

With that, we all hear a bell I look over towards our examiner for the first exam Satotz has pale lavender hair which curls at the end, blue eyes, and a long-pointed chin. His most distinctive features are his thin curly mustache and seemingly lacking a mouth and he wears a dark coat adorned with a red tie.

Waiting patiently, I should use this time to get close to Hisoka as I get the chance to awaken my Nen. With that, I listen in to what the examiner has to say, "Here I am. The time for the reception is over. Now the exam can begin."

He drops down from where he was sitting and showed us the direction to the long hallway that seems very endless, "This way, please. Well, we'll begin with a short verification… It's an extremely difficult exam. Sometimes you can miss a chance and can end up hurting yourself, or can simply die…"

As everyone begins matching up to Satotz speed walking behind him and increasing my own to match him he continues to explain to use the exam, "There are moments, like you little while ago, where we get irreparably hurt in an accident with companions. Some things can't be avoided, now please follow me."

Satotz is starting to increase his running speed and catch up to him easily from behind him keeping up my jogging he continues, "If you're able to follow me to the place where the second rounds stand… you'll have passed the first exam."

Then I see a kid on a skateboard riding around passing other people I see Killua has spiky silver hair, very pale skin, and blue eyes and he wears typically baggy clothing, with his usual attire consisting of long-sleeved and dark-colored shirts.

I kept on following behind him and I sensed that some of the participants are starting to drop down like flies with my <Search> quirk, 'Well then looks like the Hunter Exam maybe actually fun but I better not let myself get arrogant thinking I already won this is just the beginning.'

With that I began to go over to Hisoka's side as I hope to take a risk to get my Nen to awaken as I spoke to him in an honest tone as lying to this guy was impossible, "Hey your Hisoka the Magician, right? Can you tell me how to awaken my Nen or can you unlock it?"

Now seeing the surprised expression on his face was priceless but that was when his smiles return as he speaks to me curiously, "Oh! Now that was a very forward question number 403, but that kind of thing is usually kept a secret? Hmm…"

That was when he started to check me out from head to toe as he began to analyze me with a curious glint. What seemed like forever he finally answered my question with a thirsty grin as he spoke, "Hmm… you seem to have a very abundant talent for someone so young. Answer me this honestly 403 why do you seek to learn Nen and more so why from me? Do so I'll give you what you wanted."

Looking down at the ground I kept my answer honest to him as he can smell and know when someone lies to him. If I screw that up, I may have to look for another way to obtain Nen through Heavens Arena.

Finally looking at him in the eye I told him my reason as the beat down I got from Nine's was still fresh on the back of my mind as I spoke with a very heated tone, "Grr… I want to get stronger. I want to be very strong, so I won't have to worry about being unprepared for the future. So, that I can be the best I can be nothing to it and nothing less."

Hisoka on his part looked amused by my answer but that smile on his face was more than enough as he spoke to me, "That look on your eyes… they tell you hate being defeated in a humiliated fashion. Very well boy I'll give you what you want when we have time, hmm… ok 403?"

I merely nodded at this since I got his attention as he began to increase his pace. But thanks to my super hearing thanks to my OFA quirk enhancing me as I felt a shiver ran down my spine as I heard him speak to himself, "Oh~ That vicious glare of hate in his eyes will get him pretty far and possibly more ripen when the time is right… it would be good to have a future investment like him in the future~"

Eh…

Alter Ego listening from inside my head also felt a shiver of my spine as she spoke to me, 'Ugh… I don't know why sir, but I felt dirty just now…'

I felt really dirty hearing him say that but I need the power so I will do it for the time being plus I can have time to develop the choice of ability I get.
