Chapter 21

On the third floor, a little girl with an expressionless face in pink and white pyjamas walked into the dark corridor. The ticking of a clock and the rustling of her footsteps created a grim atmosphere. She stood by the wooden door. Her attempt to get ahold of the door knob failed even with the use of magic. She was perplexed at finding out what the problem was.

Her nanny, Miss Gilyard, rushed to her and drove her to her bedroom on the second floor. Approximately one year ago, Rojina's sleepwalking began to cause problems for others. However, she only went into the bedroom of her older brother. Young Master Edwin never made a complaint. However, all of the employees had noticed the cold shoulder he had given to his sister.

A decision was made to ensure that their relationship did not deteriorate further than before, with shift nights being allocated to all employees.

Inside Edwin's bedroom, it was dark all over the room. An extensive mahogany library has covered the entire wall where a variety of books from the history of wars to fairy tales have been carefully placed there. To the side, there was a green Canape with a square footrest that provided a relaxed space for reading. Further into the room, a neatly arranged computer desk was installed. A flashing red light was displayed on the screen, but nobody caught a glimpse of it.

In the corner, the other end of it, was a brown and green bed that held a mound of covers. Noah was holding the shaking boy in his arms under blankets, trying to calm him down with reassuring words.

A few minutes ago, the sound of the repeated turning doorknob woke Edwin from a deep sleep. The moment he noticed it was his sister, he became agitated tremendously. Before sleeping, Noah put a barrier at the room's entrance, especially for this girl. Yet he never imagined that Edwin's reaction would be this serious. He was in shock, terrified.

Eventually, after a painstaking effort, Edwin fell asleep. Noah felt his deep and relaxed breathing in his arms and reflected on how much he cared about this boy; stand corrected, his boyfriend now. The thought brought a smile to his face.

That evening, the bomb that Edwin dropped in the tearoom stunned his mother completely. Edwin, too was ashamed and did not speak a single word.

If Desmond and his mother did not speak to him, they would all be stifled by silence. The only one who had a normal reaction to the news was Desmond. He even congratulated him and patted him for having succeeded in melting this ice block, boy!

This remark got a rose from Edwin, and Desmond escaped from home.

The odd person in the room was Rojina, who, after her daring question, sat in the corner and watched everyone interact with him.

The other fun thing was their sleep arrangements. The butler wanted to separate them, but the housekeeper insisted on putting them together in Edwin's room. At last, his mother, Kathy, voted to share a room.

Edwin had that sparkle in his eyes as a result. Noah's smile widened as his eyelids became heavy, and dozed off.

"Noah, hello, Noah?"

A gentle female voice kept calling her. He gingerly opened his eyes to see a vast green land facing him. A gorgeous brunette with long wavy hair and green eyes was leaning over him with concern. She was wearing a yellow sundress with a big green hat.

"Are you all right?" she said again.

Noah nodded, but a giant white wolf ran toward them before he could wonder who it was. With its shiny fur and golden eyes, the wolf was like a magical beast rather than simply an animal. The wolf bent over and pushed the side of the woman and placed a distance between Noah and the woman.

"Oh, you're such a possessive man, Radin."

She laughed while patting its head lovingly. Noah doubted his hearing. 'Which name did she use?'

The wolf got up and licked the woman's face, but an accident suddenly cast the wolf away from them. A Black wolf with green eyes standing there caused the incident. The wolf stared at him for a second before turning his head and growling over the white one.

The woman hugged the black one and said.

"You finally made it back. I was worried about you, Edwin."

Noah was flabbergasted. He did not doubt that those two wolves were the ones he knew.

"What is happening here? Who are you?"

Noah questioned the woman with a shaky voice. She looked at him, smiling.

" I am.…"

Noah couldn't hear her name; in the end, there was nothing but darkness.

" Noah, wake up."

Dena panicked at what she saw. Noah's hair switched from brown to platinum blond. She rattled him again. " wake up. There's something wrong with your hair."

Noah's mind couldn't differentiate between the dream and reality. He opened his eyes to see Edwin's shocked face close by.

" Your eyes…. Why? How? "

Edwin stuttered, not making a sentence.

The glowing golden eyes of Noah made her uncertain about everything she thought she knew about the original book.

Noah sat on the bed, confused. He walked to a mirror to check his appearance. ' What? This had never happened before. Now how am I supposed to explain this to Edwin?'

He picked up his phone at the night table and called one of his professors.

On the other hand, Dena thought this Noah was so beautiful! The combination of all his features and the changed colour of his eyes and hair created mind-blowing hotness.

She shook her head to clear her mind.

Noah came back while dyeing his hair back to brown. He sat on the canape, exhausted. He noticed a red light in the corner of his eye. It aroused his curiosity to click on it. The screen illuminated, and a video clip containing Edwin's face was shown.
