To the girl I love..

She buried her face in her knees and cried in a corner of her giant wash room while water kept flowing from the shower not allowing others in her house hear her cry of misery.

Her heart was hurting from crying so much. She thought she'd die if she kept crying like this. Even though death looked like an escape door, she still had a little hope that everything will be okay.

(Starting of everything)....

It was a very cold day. Lucinda was coming home late as always. On the way home it started raining heavily, doubling the coldness she felt.

[LUCINDA'S POV]

I was soaking wet when I made it to a cafe nearby. The rain was too heavy for me to be walking home with only having a cap to cover my head.

'Stupid dumb shit! If you listened to your mom, you wouldn't be waiting outside a cafe like this.'

I kept blaming myself for not taking the umbrella like mom had told me to. My back was against the wall of the cafe and the rain seemed to get heavier and heavier by the passing second.

I must have been standing there for at least ten minutes. I guess the owner of the cafe must have noticed me because she let me inside the cafe and even offered me a hot tea.

"You're shivering"

I turned my head to the side where I heard someone's voice and not only did she sound my age, she also looked like my age. Not to mention, very pretty.

She had lovely looking long wavy, brown hair and fair skin. "Sh-shiveri-?" My teeth started to chatter as I tried to speak.

The girl's eyes shone in sympathy and kindness while her lips carved into a genuinely kind smile, before she went away and brought a blanket for me.

She gave it to me and I covered myself, burying my whole body inside the blanket. I hugged onto the blanket tightly like a coala bear.

The girl chuckled before starting a conversation with me.

"You look super cute!"

"Th-thank-s"

"Drink the tea before it gets cold. You'll feel a lot warmer."

I could only nod. I took the cup and started slurping the tea. To which, the girl started chuckling again which was a bit annoying to be honest. Cause, I was cold!

"This is my granny's cafe."

"Oh, you're that lovely granny's grand d-daughter?"

She was right. After drinking the tea I could speak without my teeth chattering so much from the cold.

"I am. I was the one who told her to let you in. Don't you remember me?"

"N-no..?"

"Oh, I see.."

She sounded upset and disappointed. I wondered why cause it was the first time I saw her in my life.

[THE GIRL'S POV]

Lucinda looked so confused. I guessed, she must have not noticed me then. I was just a boring back bencher after all.. How could a popular girl like her possibly notice a nobody like me?

"Don't look so confused. I am the new student who recently joined your class. Does that ring a bell?"

She furrowed her eyebrows, as if she had fallen into a deep thinking. Then she closed her eyes and shook her head saying, "This is actually the first time I'm seeing you."

Unintentionally, I looked away and took the tea cup to wash it.

"Do you need some help with that?" Lucinda asked.

It was nice of her to be asking if I needed help, but I just shook my head and kept washing the tea cup.

We heard a sound of a sport's car stopping in front of the cafe, very aggressively. We flinched as the door of the cafe flung open with a loud bang!

'What the hell...' I kept the cup inside a corner of the cupboard near the sink and went near Lucinda, only to see her arguing with a boy who looked a lot like her. I assumed it must be his brother.

I didn't wanna interrupt but the way he opened the door made me a bit angry. It was my granny's cafe after all. Hence, I went upto the fighting duo and cleared my throat.

[LUCINDA'S POV]

The girl came towards me and my stupid brother and we both looked at her before leaving the cafe. I wanted to thank her and her granny but the idiot brother of mine dragged me away, still yelling at me.

"UGH! I said I'm okay!"

"Shut up and come with me. Mom has a Very Nice Surprise for you!"

He sounded super mad. At this point I knew it wasn't about me not taking the umbrella but there was something else..

'Oh no.. what did I even do..?' All the things I've done and all the lies I've told mom came rushing back to my mind.

"Ah- T-thank you! Sweet- Angel- lady! And the sweet granny too, thank you so mu-"

Before I could even finish my sentence, he pushed me inside the car. I couldn't even tip the sweet ladies. 'Flipping annoying!' I hated my brother to the core. He was a jerk.

"Don't you know that you shouldn't take candies from a stranger huh?"

"Shut up! I ain't a baby anymore and she is a girl from my class anyways. Not a stranger. And what candy!? You idiot! I just drank a hot-"

"Whatever. Whatever. Mom is gonna kill you when you go home today."

"But what the heck did I do??"

"Oh, you'll see!"

With that, he drove off in the slippery road like a maniac. I was literally scared for my dear life! 'What a complete scumbag!' I thought angrily.

We arrived home after a few minutes and just when I got inside the house, the sight of mom made me tremble. She looked like the death itself. Looks like my brother wasn't joking when he said mom's gonna kill me..

"H-hello there, momsy-"

"WHAT time is it, Lucy?"

I gulped as I answered, "about..6 p.m."

"6, P.M? Is this the time a girl comes home!? Specially, looking like a street beggar, drenched in water!?"

"Oh mom.. as the house captian I-"

"Oh enough Lucy! You have made sports your biggest priority when I told you multiple times to-"

"Study study study, study. And.. study. I know."

"How dare you cut me off!? I'm your mother. You should never talk back to me!"

"Well then act like a mother!"

Mom gasped and held her chest like I've had killed her right then and there.

"You ungrateful brat! Is this the way you repay me for giving birth to a useless daughter like you!? Huh! Going around with boys! How could you embarrass me like this!!!?"

"What the- Who the- Wha- What do you mean mom???"

"Don't act so innocent! Some of your friends's mothers were talking behind my back how you are dating many boys at once like a fricking sl-"

"Enough! Mother! They are all fake rumors! All lies! Why can't you trust me for once!? Trust your own daughter, woman!"

"How dare you call me woman! You are grounded for life! You are not allowed to date any boy until I-"

"Fine with me!!"

Hearing me happily agreeing to not dating boys, mom looked stupefied. The look on her face made me feel brave. I sneered as I was about to unfold the biggest secret of my life.

"I'M GAY MOM."
