Chapter 11 You Criminal!

TYH2 001

-playlist chapter: Prelude in C Major, BMW 836 by Johann Sebastian Bach, Alistair McGowan

...

Tik Tok!

The sound of a worn wooden table sounded discordant when the skinny fingers of a teenage boy played a melody that was no less bad. That's not the case. But his restless eyes showed various expressions that he couldn't show.

Vin sits at a dull little table waiting for Vera to come home from math lessons. It's not usually that her little sister is more than ten minutes late. Vin was angry and couldn't calm down.

Not without reason, Vin was worried. The complex where they live is rundown, and the number of criminals of various groups can act at any time. They can do as they please and know no time. They will not choose victims or put pity on rice.

Not to mention Vin and Vera are just orphans. They were abandoned by their uncles. And aunts after their parents died a few years ago. Consecutive car accidents claimed the lives of both of Vin's parents.

"Vera, where are you?" asked Vin in a phone call.

"Brother, wait a minute. I have to buy a new painting tool. Tomorrow there is a painting task for the mid-test." replied Vera slowly.

Vin, for a long time, has known the behavior of his only sister suddenly feels something strange. If it was schoolwork then Vera's voice must have sounded cheerfully ecstatic. Not like today. His voice sounded forced.

Tense.

Vera is the kind of school-mad kid. It's not strange that Vera is ranked number one every year. No child can or dare to defeat the persistence of Vera Alamba.

Vera also wouldn't dare to act foolishly or carelessly like not going home first to buy school supplies. Vin always provides.

Vin was suspicious.

Vin fretted and immediately ran towards their subscription minimarket. It's not unusual for Vin to feel so panicked at Vera's voice that she's heard asking for help. Vin ran as fast as lightning towards the place where Vera was supposed to feel.

The convenience store was small and the only place they used to buy Vera's school needs. The strange flickering neon lights further made Vin's suspicions increase. Usually, the minimarket is crowded all the time.

However, one of the windows looks half open and the hinges come off forcefully. The owner of the convenience store was a kind, old man. Sometimes give discounts to Vin who often buys Vera school tools.

"Vera. Vera, where are you?" cried Vin no-nonsense.

Vin has a hunch that he should soon find Vera otherwise something bad might happen.

There was no sign of life as Vin walked into the minimarket, which today is very gloomy and humid. A creaking sound like a wooden window hinge pitted against the wind came from the back of the minimarket.

Be careful Vin stepped into the back of the minimarket. There was an old wooden door that was half-open. The room inside seemed dark and smelled strange.

"Vera?" asked Vin, still hardening his voice.

Sometimes, Vera plays at the back of the convenience store to help her owner do some tasks such as embroidering a slightly torn shirt or fixing pillow sheets that her pet cat laces.

The lights in the room went out when Vin tried to turn them on but to no avail. The only light source comes from the backside of the living room where there is a window that almost comes off the hinges.

"Vera? Old man?" exclaimed Vin increasingly worried.

Minimarket is left unattended instead of the circumstances. That the old man of the minimarket owner can do. The old man was stingy but very kind to Vera and Vin.

"..."

Getting to the back of the Old Man's house heard the sound of faucets that were left un off. Water fills the sink and washing tub that has now flooded the kitchen floor. The light that made it through the black glass on one of the kitchen walls didn't help the alarming sight become even better.

The sound of stifled jerking. And sobs were heard from behind the kitchen door leading to the backyard.

Vin carefully walked towards the door. Peek at what might happen. Or there are attacks of wild animals running away from captivity. Because it's not surprisingly the same.

Their settlement was very close to the captive territory of wild animals like lions, tigers!

"Please don't do that. I beg you. I will give you everything you want." the old man's great-grandson pleaded with his face down.

One corner of Vin's eyes captured the silhouette of Vera's body whose top of her school uniform was torn apart like the claws of a wild animal. Vin still couldn't see who the man who committed the heinous thing was.

"You criminal. Just watch out you dare to hurt Vera, there is no mercy for you." Observe the circumstances to move to attack.

Vin remained to squat behind the kitchen door. As long as the invisible criminal doesn't do anything dangerous to Vera then Vin will still wait.

Vin has a secret that only Vera knows. The secret of the power that led them to be driven out of the homes of uncles and aunts. The power Vin had from birth without him wanting. The power that makes his life feel complicated.

Without realizing it, Vin did it. It was easy to take the hammer which was two meters away from its current position. Vin's handgrip was very tight when the criminal who turned out to be masked began to step on the old man's chest of the minimarket owner.

"What do you want from me? Every month I always give you money, is it still lacking? Should you thank your mother for raising you even though I asked her to leave you to the organization?" said the Old Man of the Minimarket owner coughing.

"It would be better for you to kill me when I'm born. You should have separated me and my mother from birth. Because it would be better for me and you. Not giving birth to me is much better.

Do you know the old man, I'm the only robot now. A butcher who can't be buried. While you shamelessly picked up this little girl? Helping him survive should you be able to close your eyes like when handing me over to the organization?" the criminal annoyed.

"This girl didn't know anything, she just happened to pass by and required painting tools for school. Why do you think so?" snapped the old man.

"Unfortunately, this poor girl already knows everything. Unfortunately, he won't survive even if you beg to exchange your life for him. Because your death is too easy if you do what you ask." the criminal chuckled with satisfaction.

"Don't do that, please, my son."

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a tone that was somewhere between annoyance and disappointment. "You can’t outsmart Scrients! They’re the most intelligent beings across the two realms!" "You’re right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a solemn sigh. "I made a mistake. I was arrogant to think a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "...Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I’m not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait! You can’t. I killed them all." --- My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid and pointless scuffle. And in the middle of it, I tripped and smacked my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in… Memories of a different life. Memories of another world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First: I was inside a game I used to play in my past life. Second: I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool, mysterious, tragic kind either! No, I was the worst kind of cliché — a spoiled, insufferable, and arrogant young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. You know the type! The one everyone hates. The one the hero would beat into the ground to show everyone just how strong and righteous he is. Yeah. I was that guy! My fate was to be a stepping stone for the main characters, be manipulated by a Demon Prince, and die a dog's death. And the hero? The hero was the same kid I’d been bullying all this time. The one I just got into a fight with. He was supposed to be the savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And waiting at the end of it all was the final antagonist. The unbeatable nightmare. …The Spirit King. But could I even make it to the end? Could I really survive in a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that had now become my reality? “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could. But I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, altering the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains long before they could become threats — nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected by my actions? Excellent! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me. My survival. My life. My choices. “I’ll live this life with no regrets.” ...But as I soon discovered, fate wasn't so easily changed. And the price of rewriting your destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR
