Break-In

Oz spent the next couple of days within the leaky cauldron playing around with his magic and refining his control. While doing this he was constantly thinking of ideas to make money.

'I could pickpocket again... but thats a slow strategy, I only barely managed back in the orphanage over those years. I think I need to do one big thing that gets me a lot of money then use that money to create a product or something that can be marketed'.

Oz was dead set on creating something for the wizarding community as it had a number of benefits. Also with his connection to Gringotts, with the upper brass knowing who he is, he could easily make a deal with them in regards to selling a product. The problem Oz had was that he needed an initial investment before he could start work on creating a product.

'There's a number of things I could have done in Hogwarts to make money but I was too distracted with the events going on. I spent a whole year dedicated to magic without thinking of the future... I really need to reel myself in again and think of the bigger picture from now on'.

Oz sighed to himself as he walked over to the window of his room.

'I should have just taken some things to sell from the RoR... what do I do now...'

While kicking himself Oz Looked out of his windows in the Leaky Cauldron. As he was thinking about what to do next he saw a police car on the road out his window arresting a group of people. Looking at this situation, an idea formed in Oz's mind.

'...If I cloak myself and go into a police station maybe I can acquire some documents on gangs in the area? After locating their bases I could cloak myself and steal all they have to offer leaving them completely blindsided by what's happening. Its not exactly perfect but this seems to be the quickest method I can think of...'.

Oz turned back into his room to look down at the book he had been reading, the book in question was the one from Merlin's vault.

'Would it have killed you to leave some kind of money for your descendants old man? At least then I wouldn't have to bother with such ludicrous plans...'.

Sighing to himself Oz walked over to the book and placed it within his pouch.

'I have just over a week, in that time I need to break into a police station and find information on gangs in the area. After that I need to spend some nights raiding gang hideouts to procure funds, after which I can then use to pay for the rest of the weeks I'm going to be here as well as start working on a product to market to the public'.

A plan had formed and cemented itself within Oz's mind. The plan was risky and volatile but it was the best he could come up with right now.

'Well I better start moving'.

On the night of Oz's decision he walked out into the streets of London going towards where the main police station was. After locating it he hid himself in a back alley, blocking the trace then cloaking himself with a spell.

'All I need is information... Such information should be held in the chief's office in the police station'.

Oz waited outside the station while cloaked. The second the door opened he let himself in. Walking up through he took his time just to be sure that he doesn't expose himself, finally after reaching the top floor he saw a door labelled:

'CHIEF'S OFFICE'

'If I were a betting boy that'd be where the documents I need are...'

Oz turned to look at the security cameras. Casting a couple spells he knocked out the cameras video feed.

'That takes care of that, Ill only have some time before people start coming up to see what happened...'.

Walking up to the door Oz uttered a soft "Alohomora" unlocking it, after which he entered quietly closing the door behind him.

"Accio map!"

A few maps came flying towards Oz, all of which he controlled with his wands to fall in front of him on the table.

'Okay lets get searching through this all quickly before anyone comes'.

Looking through the maps all manner of things were scribbled onto them. Oz eventually found a map of London in the pile with X's on different buildings and the map was labelled 'Possible Hideouts/Locations'.

'This is it'.

After finding the map Oz looked at the map for a while imprinting it in his mind. His 'Perfect Memory' would allow him to recall all the details after he had seen it once.

'These are only possible hideouts but some should be correct, there seem to be a few near where im based in the Leaky Cauldron...'

Oz then put all the different maps back to where they had been accio'd from. Just as he put back the last map, he heard people running up the stairs.

'I better get out of here quick'.

Oz looked over to the window in the chiefs office and use his wand to opened it. He was three stories up but such a height should be easy to land from with magic.

Taking a leap Oz jumped out the window, as he was falling he turned around a sent a small shockwave with his wand strong enough that it would close the window shut. As he was about to hit the ground he uttered:

"Arresto Momentum"

The spell slowed his fall as his feet landed on the ground softly. Turning around he looked up at the window he jumped from.

'Step one complete...'.

Pleased with what he had accomplished, Oz walked off into the night.

Arriving back at the Leaky Cauldron Oz laid down on his bed looking up at the ceiling. Exhaustion washed over his body from the sheer amount of magic he had used in the past hour casting spells, cloaking himself and blocking the trace.

'Man who would have thought I'd be doing shit like this in my next life...'

Closing his eyes he recalled the map he saw in the police station.

'There was an X on a building thats nearby here, the X was pretty pronounced too with a lot of different notes surrounding it so hopefully that was one of the more probable hideouts. Ill head there tomorrow night...'

After deciding the location he'd raid, Oz felt himself slowly fall into a deep sleep.

'I should send a letter to Cho and Craig soon.....'
