The Ultimate Fangirl

And on top of her spectacular background, her looks and mannerisms weren't bad either.

I glanced from the corner of my eye at the other students' faces.

Once I saw them, I was even more certain of my conjecture.

These students… they were infatuated with that Asura Claremont!

And from my strange dazed expression, they had thought that I had also fallen for her.

Pfft.

Looks like my senses had dulled.

Or maybe it's that Asura Claremont's impact on me was more significant than I had initially thought.

Seeing the emotions hidden deep within her eyes made me alert, and my mind immediately flew to the worst possible scenarios.

For some reason, an urge to laugh bubbled up in my throat, and I couldn't help but lowly chuckle, earning a few puzzled gazes heading my way.

But I didn't even notice, still enjoying the overwhelming sense of amusement and joy that the abrupt situation brought me.

Recalling the girls face, I wondered when would be the next time we met. After all, I didn't know anything about her besides the very basics—things that anyone who was even slightly interested in Loen would know—, and asking for her information would only garner disdain.

But I wasn't worried that we would never see each other again. Asura Claremont made it very clear to me that she knew my identity as a Marude princess and was not intimidated in the slightest. In fact, she was almost trembling with delight and smugness—perhaps thinking that I had fallen for her charms just as everyone else did.

Like this, she would definitely come looking for me herself, trying to confirm my infatuation and also to flaunt her charms.

And I was correct.

Not even a day had passed, and the golden-haired girl had already come knocking at my door.

Standing up from my seat within the spacious classroom filled with mild chatter and the shuffling of chairs, I looked up to see Asura Claremont waiting by the classroom doors with a small group of giggling young girls.

As I approached the doors and nodded my head towards the group, Asura Claremont beamed at me, holding out her hand. "Hi! You're a new student, right? I accidentally bumped into you this morning… would you like to sit with us for lunch? I'll give you some of my food as compensation…" Her voice was demure, but I clearly saw the natural arrogance within her puffed chest and poised smile; she was confident that I would accept her invitation.

Upon hearing her words, the girls behind Asura Claremont gasped a little and stared at me with envy.

I stopped for a second, before blushing madly. "Yes! I-um, just arrived today… But… i-is that okay? Sitting with you, I mean." My voice was shaky as I replied to her while bashfully tucking a strand of long ebony hair behind my ear, like I was confessing my love instead of asking a simple question.

"Of course! Why wouldn't it be alright?" There was a bit of surprise in her voice, and with that as reassurance, I grew bolder with my performance.

"I-It's just that… you look so cool, and, and… I'm afraid that with me, an insignificant student, sitting next to you, I might tarnish your coolness!"

"What do you mean! How could that ever happen?! I will never think that way!" Saying so with a heroic air, she grabbed my hands, pulling me to her side as if to prove her point.

"T-T-Thank you s-s-s-so much!" My already flushed face turned even redder, struggling to produce understandable syllables.

At this point, I was sure that everyone around us had already come to a conclusion from their similar looks of understanding and pride: The new student will definitely become Miss Claremont's number one fangirl!

With this thought in mind, they didn't argue or show rejection when I shyly grasped back Asura Claremont's hand and held it for the entire walk to the lunchroom.

"What's your name? Mine is Asura!"

I paused before replying with a smile, "My name is Lancera Hall."

Since she wanted a fangirl, I'll give her one. The ultimate fangirl that she can't help but kneel to.
