Memories of the Past (Nao POV) 2

My grandparents looked at me with disappointment, until my grandpa broke the silence and said "Fine on one condition your friend here will also attend that school and will also be your neighbor".

I almost shouted out in disagreement since Mika was only supposed to stay here temporarily. But Mika stopped me and smiled.

" Fine but can she return after the first year of high school is over," I said to my grandpa to make a compromise since I didn't want to get Mika involved in the first place.

"Alright as long as she stays with you for the first year of high school you are allowed to go to High School Mallor" my grandpa replied. I almost had burst with excitement but managed to hold it in.

Mika and I managed to get some luxury apartments near the school and I was content but of course, this was the only beginning of my plan. High School Mallor was famous for being a prestigious school for the brilliant although the school still gave admission to the rich if they had an average grade and the right amount of money.

I however had free admission considering I was the heir to one of the wealthiest families found on the planet. Although I would have gotten admission to the school easily even if I took the entrance exams because of the strict education my grandparents had given me when I was little.

A few days later and it was the start of school I checked the class board for my name and then Mika and just as I thought she had been in the same class as me, class 1-1a.

Hierarchy Chart:

First Years: Second Years: Third Years:

1-1a 2-1a 3-1a

1-1b 2-1b 3-1b

1-2a 2-2a 3-2a

1-2b 2-2b 3-2b

1-C 2-C ------

The entrance ceremony had been pretty normal although I didn't understand why I had to do the speech since I never took the entrance exams, so I concluded that my grandparents had some influence on the matter.

After the entrance ceremony, everybody was supposed to go to their homeroom class to meet the teacher and get informed about the rules and what we would be doing in class. So we all made our way to our assigned classes.

The homeroom teacher for class 1-A seemed nice and a little carefree but she looked like she was a good teacher. I looked around the classroom and saw a few significant figures but the majority of the class looked like smart commoners, and I guessed that they weren't that poor considering they were in class A.

After the teacher had finished discussing everything about how the class was going to work we were dismissed. So me and Nao had made our way back to our apartments.

"So why is it that your apartment is the top quality apartment on the top floor while mine is just the regular apartment" Mika said scowling at me while we headed to the elevator.

"Hey at least the apartment building we live in is better that all the others in this area plus I bet the apartment is better quality than your house overseas" I said to Mika with a smile. Plus I didn't want to get her involved in this situation anyways.

"Hey that's not true... probably" Mika said trying to think of the price of her home overseas.

"Well anyways I'm going to be out till dinner or even later so don't expect me to be in my apartment today" I said to her to change the subject.

"Hmm... ok, where are you going anyways?" Mika asked me.

"Well let's say it's a place I used to go to a lot in the past and no you are not allowed to come with me" I said with a smirk.

"Awww why not~" Mika whined at me with a pout.

"Because it's something I want to see by myself" I laughed a little then smirked.

Once I entered my apartment I whipped up something to eat, changed out of my uniform and then made my way out of the apartment.

The shop I had wanted to go to was very close to the school although in the past the district had been deemed as poor so not many people of high class came around. This made it a perfect hideaway for me when I was little.

The whole reason I chose this school was because it had been close to the shop. Also the fact that the school had a really good reputation also helped the fact of enrolling there.

When I arrived at the at the front of the shop I had noticed that the antique part of the shop had disappeared. The shop had transformed into a tiny cafe. I walked inside to see that someone younger that the owner had occupied the space behind the counter.

"Welcome to Travel's Cafe what can I get for you today?" The person behind the counter said with a smile.
