Drowned in Green

Looking at himself on the black computer screen he looked the same as he did before but completely different, the memories had reborn him, he was him but also very different.

the red stone now nestled in the palm of his hand urged him to eat it, it forced him to the ground resisting it, on his knees he struggled against it until a green light came up from his entire body, suppressing the red stone and halting the desire to swallow the stone.

The desire didn't go away but instead of compelling him to swallow it, to devour it, now it was like a wise elder sitting down to transfer knowledge, his body acting as a pupil desperately wanted to contain the red stone no matter how hard the process would be.

The green light flooded the area like a shining beacon, the young man on his knees prayed it would suppress the feeling even more and he would not have to eat this strange stone jagged and sharp one side was larger than the other, 10 sharp points made the shape of the stone.

the green light shin did not answer his prey, contrary to his belief it instead amplified his want for the stone.

It was beginning to become self-evident that the greenstone instead of wanting him to get rid of the stone wanted him to eat it just like the red stone itself did however the two feelings were in stark contrast to each other one being a threatening forceful feeling and the other making it feel like a part of him was waiting to be reunited within his body, thinking to this point he could no longer control the feeling of need and shoved the stone forcefully down his throat.

Soon his body become an amalgamation of red and green as the two beasts fought for control over his body however the suspense wasn't long as the greenstone won in a landslide against the red stone and soon his body started to change again this time it was painful, so painful he started to pull out his own hair and clenched his teeth so hard they started to visibly crack under the tremendous force as a red light enveloped his body changing it in ways he didn't know nor could possible think of right now.

He didn't know how long had passed before the light died down and his body began healing with the red being subdued by the green his pain died off completely like it wasn't even there, he had a strange feeling that if he ate something right now he wouldn't be changed by it like the test subject was but this was as foreign to him as the cave he was in until a few hours ago so he put it to the back of his mind and decided to get out of this lab before something else happened to him that he couldn't explain, turning back and looking for the door he was frozen solid as he saw a pair of green eyes with red staring back at him he couldn't bear to turn his head the rest of the way to see what it was so he just stood there with a cold sweat running down his back and after much time he noticed the eyes seemed to move where he was looking so he decided to turn around as the eyes didn't seem to be paying attention to him. Turning around he became more even more shocked as the eyes that were looking away a moment before were now locked onto his own staring him down he almost ran thinking if he could just get to the cave he might be safe until he looked down and saw what he could not believe which was a keyboard and a desk. He was staring at his own eyes at his reflection but he still thought something was where he did not have red circling his eyes thus he concluded it was not him but something the stones or the hours in a cave induced so he ran to the door following his memories from the dead person to find his way out as he ran through the empty hallways he saw doors that were all damaged differently, one having claw marks the others had burns and bullet holes as well as the one at the end was completely melted and there where to many doors every one of them damaged differently as the light flickered he was a handgun on the ground and his body moved on instinct if not a little clumsy to grab it.

He held it close to his chest with the muzzle pointed slightly down and elbows into his side as he looked around scared as hell, as all sorts of possibilities arose in his head as he slowly moved through the room he wanted to run throw it but his body did not let him do anything he was like a passenger scared and wanting out but his body still moved slowly and went to the sides of doors first before quickly darting around them with the gun up. This all happened fast in only 20 minutes he had moved throw this floor not encountering anyone and finding the stares that his memories showed him led to where they came in from so he moved this time his body allowed him to move fast but as he reached out for the railing he found himself against the wall furthest away from the railing as if he was afraid of heights, not wanting to think any more and glad he could now at least jog he moved like he had never before and only stopped when he got to the last door on the very top of the stairs he knew this was his best chance as he was far underground and this is where he came in as he moved forward he checked the door and then opened it from the side it was only when the light hit him did he realize one he still had the gun in the same position to his chest and that he didn't actually know where he was as that man that had died was not involved in planning beyond the breach and thus only knew the surrounds of the forest and the closest town in case the worst happened.

So as that was his only way forward now he started looking for a vehicle to get out of here with but couldn't find any more than likely whoever survived the attack used them to flee so he began to slowly walk to the little town he could remember all the while not knowing something was watching him.
