Josh who is the son from a wealthy family but is in hiding, gets humiliated by his in laws. His wife files for a divorce and so he grants her wish. But now, Josh's identity is getting revealed and his in law needs his help. "Please, we will do anything! Help.us." "I'm busy right now. Please leave." Josh said firmly. It's time to show them who the real boss is.
Josh wished he had not heard her clearly. "What?" He had to ask again and saw that Hannah's expression had not softened a bit. "A divorce?"
"You heard me." She said. "I want a divorce from you right now, and there's nothing you can do to change my mind."
Josh didn't want for any of that to happen. He advanced closer but Hannah pulled back and gave him a stare like he was a murderer.
"Hannah, this is all a big misunderstanding. I didn't do anything wrong." Josh insisted.
"Oh yea?" Mary stepped forward. "Because raping innocent women is something ordinary to you?"
Josh teeth barred. Why was this woman lying on him? They must have planned it, now he could see it all. They wanted him to leave Hannah anyway.
He felt a sullen feeling of disappointment because even though he had never slept wit her or been anyway intimate with her, he still loved her and wouldn't want to end things like this. Especially when they were lying just to end their marriage!
For three years, he had been married to Hannah, and yet she would easily believe this lie that have been plotted against him, and worse, she would not even give him a chance to explain himself.
"You're not even giving me a chance to prove my innocence and you just want to file for a divorce?" Josh said to her, ignoring the fake tears from Lisa and her mother.
Determination had hit Hannah's face now as she didn't care at all what Josh had to say. She was right as she had said. He couldn't change her mind.
Seeing how she had made up her mind, he had no choice but to accept to her terms. "Fine. If that's what you want, then anything you say." It hurt as the words came out from his lips.
"That is exactly what I want, so no need to keep thinking I'll change my mind." Hannah said.
"Yes. Leave my daughters alone, you pervert!" Mary chirped in.
This only made Josh angry. "Well let's get on with it then, why are you going back and forth? I have already agreed to your terms, have I not?" He was in fact disgusted by their act, trying to exaggerate things as it already was.
He was tired of the so called marriage now that he thought of it. He always tried to make Hannah proud of him, hoping that she would at least love him half as he did. But now, the realization hit him.
No matter what he did, his in laws would always have the upper hand over Hannah's decisions and that divorve was bound to come anyway.
Hannah had already made the divorce papers ready. Who kept a divorce paper ready like it was some secret stash of cash? She must have been waiting for am opportunity to end things with him all this while.
She signed the papers quickly and passed it over to him. "Sign and leave, Josh. Goodbye." Her words were cold and held no little emotion at all.
She was heading out to meet with a big company, Rhodes construction to help assist on a huge project. Her life was all set and unlike her husband, she was making big moves.
Maybe it was right for her to divorce him now since their goals in life is in fact different. That was a thought she held on to as she walked out of the room.
Mary fixed him a sly grin before rushing out after her daughter. Soon, Josh realized that Lisa and Harold had all gone as well. He was glaring deeply at the innocent file of papers on the desk, angry at the fact that he would have to sign it. And knowing that signing it meant saying goodbye to his three years of marriage too.
Finally, he picked up the pen beside the file and signed where he was supposed to. It was done. Realizing he was still in Lisa's room, he quickly made plans to leave and just as Hannah had expected, he would head in to their room and pack his stuff to leave the house entirely.
However as he was leaving, Ralph, Hannah's older brother stopped him when he arrived at the living room.
"Hey stop right there, foolish Josh." Ralph said, blocking Josh's path. It made Josh wonder when Ralph had rushed home since he was supposed to be at work at that moment.
Out of nowhere, Mary walked in as well as Lisa with the family butler, Harold. This made more sense to Josh now as he realized that Mary must had called Ralph from work. Hannah must have left because they shouldn't have had that much free will as they respected her being the care provider for the family.
Josh frowned, wondering what was going on. "Please let me pass, Ralph." He said with a straight face. In reality, he knew Ralph wouldn't move. Heaving in a deep sigh as he massaged his forehead, he turned to Mary who happened to be the boss.
"What do you want?" He asked her plainly, respecting her to be direct to him as possible.
"You know what is going on." Mary spat out. "You raped my precious niece! And you think you can just walk out like that?"
Josh felt completely disgusted by her act. He didn't do anything to her. She set him up! Why are they still going around accusing him like that?
"That's nonsense. It's very clear I did nothing to her. You of all people know that, since you're the one in particular who must have cooked up this helpless plan." Josh said to Mary freely. What was the point of respecting her when she didn't even respect herself. Besides, he was no longer their in law and didn't have to take any of their crap.
"Oh shut up, Joshua." Mary snapped. "As you can see, you are completely surrounded. This can go smoothly well if you play along nice and calm. You asked what is it I wanted? Well I'll make it simple. I want compensation for what you did to poor Lisa over there."
