Chapter 1Prologue-1

"My lord! Please forgive my son. He is innocent! He has never dared to touch a girl without consent. My Lord, please forgive him!" an old voice filled with sadness and weariness, pleading for forgiveness echoed out in an aged western-medieval designed hall made up of cold, moist, and gray-colored stone bricks, well-lit with candles and guards donning leather armor holding glistening metallic spears standing on either side of the hall.

Presently, two people, one, an old man dressed in a luxurious white robe made out of a Stage-1 Eastwood silk and the other being a young man with an extremely cold and handsome face clenching his fist in anger inside the same type of robe worn by the old man.

They both were currently kneeling on the rough and freezing stones not daring to raise their head, near the steps elevating slowly towards a throne.

The steps looked aged with moist cracks and dust accumulation occasionally seen on the surface as if they had suffered a great passage of time. They lead to a throne made up of cold and rough gray stones with carvings of divine beasts and gods inscribed on it. A young man wearing a luxurious robe with patterns of golden dragons sewn on it sat on the throne with a middle-aged man standing beside him donning in surprisingly, shining silver armor holding a metallic sword. The young man's eyes were closed as if pondering about something with his fingers constantly tapping the edges of the armrests.

"Tap! Tap! Tap!"

The old man with his shivering and bruised knees noticed the cold atmosphere and didn't dare to continue his plea, in case he interrupts the king's thoughts, angering him and causing him to change his verdict and sentence them to death.

The young man stops tapping after some while and opens his eyes letting everyone see his cold and emotionless golden eyes. He stares at the old man and then at the handsome young man beside him and slowly a smile creeps upon his face. He says in a cold and emotionless voice, "I won't be sentencing you to death! No need to fret! I know that he is innocent."

The old man felt as if he had found water in between a desert to quench his thirst, he hurriedly said, "I thank the kin-!" Before he could finish the young man raises his hand gesturing him to stop and then looks at the old man in schadenfreude and says, "Although he is innocent, he can't escape the punishment resulting from you, he shall be crippled of his cultivation!"A bright light flew out from one of his fingers entering inside and crippling the handsome man. The cold and handsome man felt as if he had swum away deep inside a well filled with icy cold water. He bites his teeth and says nothing. His years of cultivation to Stage-1 have all been wasted. He won't longer be the genius proclaimed by the masses anymore.

The old man felt as if he had a hundred horses galloping in his heart, drowning in despair, he tried his final ditch effort," Your majesty! Pleas-" but before he could finish the young man interrupted him, "Lord Thomas! You don't need to say anything anymore. I have spoken my words in full conscience. Don't think that I don't know your involvement in the plan resulting in my father's assassination! I have been lenient by only crippling your grandson."

Hearing these words, a cold glint flew past Lord Thomas's eyes before a mighty pressure downed upon him forcing him to bend his neck further. He hears the king say, "Don't bother with your petty schemes. They are all futile! Guards throw them out of my castle!"

Two guards wearing leather armor and with their scabbards hanging on their waist walks towards the old man and the young man. They pick them up by the arms and start walking out with them. The old man glares at the young man sitting on the throne and threatens, " You are gonna regret this King Tristan!" accompanied by the handsome man's death-like glare. King Tristan just scoffs at them and tells the guards to throw them out.

Although the old man could easily kill these two guards here and now, the consequences for it would be unbearable. The old man endures this humiliation and marks King Tristan as a dead man in his heart.

Inside the hall, the originally still standing silver knight says, "The people won't be happy. You have been abusing the citizens of the Kingdom of Yuanir for too long. Be careful, there are gonna be people coming after your life more often now."

The young man stands up from his throne and glances at the starry night above and says, "I understand, Uncle. My purpose in life has finished. There is no chance for me to advance in my cultivation anymore anyways. I have finished avenging my father's death by giving those having the slightest relationship with the scheme a torment worse than death. But, alas, I haven't been able to do it completely. I am an unfilial son. The Kingdom of Arcana is too strong and with my skill, I have only been able to anger my citizens, even degrade it quite a bit let alone lead a war with the petty amount of soldiers, I have. I know my father won't be proud of me but I am happy to avenge my father. "

The knight sighs and laments, "That lad was quite beautiful and a good match for you but what a pity, a good-looking apple with rotten insides. The one who should feel worse is me. I still haven't been able to find a medicine to cure your dantian."

Tristan frowns when he hears his uncle speaking about his fiance and says, "Uncle, you don't have to mention her anymore! She betrayed my love for the riches and status and to cancel our engagement she went as far as to attack me when my guard was low, totally crippling me. She doesn't deserve my love."
