Jason snickered again as he watched her leave, and immediately began to kiss my neck and shoulder as soon as the two were out of the room. "Castille is starting to adopt your mannerisms." He moved my hair out of the way and began fiddling with my necklace.
"How so?"
"She silently stared at me until I picked her up, then she stared at me some more until I kissed her. She didn't crack a smile until I kissed her enough."
I couldn't resist the smile that pushed at my cheeks when he told me that. It really was something I would do when I was mad at him. "Smart cookie."
"Hmm." Jason rested his chin on top of my head. "She's going to be a lawyer when she grows up."
"How do you know?"
"She has that look in her eyes. Fierce determination to get her way. I'm putting all bets on a future district attorney."
