Chapter 1: The One

As you all know, the people living on earth still have no idea what created us or who created us. There are believers of science that we evolved and were not created by some gods, and the religions believe gods created all of us and the entire Universe.

There was no evidence on either of them so there are ones who are neutral. They believe in science and they also believe in gods.

No one could really tell what are we, and what is our purpose. Or we could say, we do not have any purposes.

Like that, humans kept evolving at a rapid pace. As humans kept evolving, they also created many things as their knowledge expand every minute.

It is now 2021, humans experienced world wars, dangerous pandemics that occurred and killed thousands, and many world changing events. As of now, the earth is experiencing a global pandemic and global warming because of the inventions of humans. They kept advancing their technology and the earth's condition is also getting worse.

Humans are intelligent beings, they created many world-changing technologies and more, but the most interesting thing they created is what many called "Anime".

Through anime, some people escaped reality and focused their time watching or using VR to meet their Favorite characters. Anime is basically a style of Japanese film and television animation, typically aimed at teens as well as children.

On earth, within the country of the Philippines, there is an 18-year-old young man who is currently lazing on his bed watching anime using his laptop. He is seemingly having fun watching anime because there is a thin smile on his face. He has a slightly handsome face with curly hair and ordinary black irises. His height cannot be measured as he is currently lying on his bed, he has a slightly toned body perfect for his age.

This Youngman is Lycan Sandoval, a typical teenager on earth. He is good with his grades as he is within the top 10 in his class. He has a very happy family with a little sister named Layla Sandoval. His mother, Linda Sandoval, is a housewife, and his father, Kota Sandoval, is currently in New Zealand, working as an engineer.

Lycan's childhood could be considered normal, he played with kids, learned new things, had a very caring childhood sweetheart, and he was 6 when he was introduced to anime. His father, Kota, brought him presents(mangas) when he went to work in Japan and since then, Lycan came to love anime and became an "otaku" which meaning is term for people with consuming interests, particularly in anime and manga.

Because of Covid, Schools in the Philippines have to use online classes to avoid students getting infected by COVID-19 and that is the reason why Lycan is currently lazing around in his room even though it is Wednesday.

"Haah... This is amazing!" Lycan sighed while stretching his limbs and while he is thinking about whether he will watch anime or play DOTA, A woman with a normal body and normal height with a slightly beautiful face, black irises, and straight black hair barged into his room and loudly yelled at him. This is his mother, Linda.

"Hey, Lycan! Come out in your damn cave and clean the dishes! And by the way, clean your damn room as it stinks like an old man!"

Lycan became startled and fell to the floor. He scratched his butt, then stood up and looked at his mother. After looking at her dumbfoundedly, he hurriedly pushed her out of the room and said.

"Ouch! Woah! Easy there, Ma. I almost had a heart attack there!"

Linda looked at him furiously and he could only sigh in defeat. He raised his arms and said.

"Yes! Yes! I will wash it now ma, so don't get angry. So now go out to my room as I have things to do."

Linda looked at her son doubtfully and suddenly smiled widely as she remembered something.

"Mikka will scold you for sure if she see the condition of your room... or maybe should I tell her myself? hmmm..." Linda threatened Lycan and looked at him with a smug smile.

"NOOOO, Ma!!! Please don't! I will do all the chores and everything! Just don't tell that to Mikka! She will surely pinch me to death!" Lycan held one of Linda's arm and begged her desperately and fearfully. Mikka is Lycan's childhood sweetheart and now his girlfriend. She liked to clean and liked her room or his room to be always clean. She is caring and beautiful, they had known each other for over 15 years and have been in a relationship for 3 years.

The last time when she saw how dirty and messy his room, she held one of his ears and pinched him all over his body until she became exhausted. And do not criticize him that he is a simp but we all know that in a relationship, most of the time girlfriend is the boss. So he did not argue with her and let her pinch him all day and after that, they cleaned his room until it was shining.

Since then, Lycan feared Mikka finding out that his room is messy again.

While Lycan and his mother were argui- no, while Lycan is begging his mother, in a faraway place, where nothing could be seen except darkness, suddenly flashed with radiating light that felt to earth even though it was Zillions of light year it is on earth.

The people on earth felt the heat of the radiating light and thought it was the end of the world. The grass went aflame and the trees burned. It was so hot that some of the ice in the North Pole melted.

Lycan and his mother stopped their 'bonding' and looked at each other when they felt the extreme heat, they became startled. After some time, they came out of their stupor and became serious, after that they nodded at each other.

Linda immediately went to the school of Lyla using their BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo car as the school is 2 miles away. While Lycan went to their garage, rode his KRGT-1 motorbike, and went directly to Mikka's house.
