ONE STEP CLOSER

" One more minute and I will go insane " Mia whines .

" You will survive , darling " I state . " It's not like you have anything better to do with your boring life , now do you ?

" Piss off , bastard "

" Is that the best you got ?"

" Let me get out of this Library , and I will show you the best I got by getting my hands on that bare neck of yours " She states in a warning tone .

If you all are wondering what is happening , well Emily persuaded in them coming to the Library for collecting information . The answer to question is Who could pass up free child labour ?

Jokes aside , three of them have rummaged through all of the Library and can't get their hands on the piece of information they requires .

" Do you reckon we should check in there ?" Aastha asks as she raises her eyebrows suggestively .

" Please don't make me go anywhere else " Mia blurts out in a defeated tone .

" Where to ?" I asks .

Truth be told they are bored out of their mind . You have no idea how much this sucks not getting what you have been trying to find for the past 3 and a half hours .

" In the restricted section " Aastha says her voice barely above a whisper.

" Are you stupid ? ..... Neverminnd , you are ." I bellowed .

" Look , all we need is a plan and then everything will work out . "

" But we need to have a card and permission to enter " Mia decides to join in on the conversation .

" That's where my plan comes into action "

I still think this plan and the person to implement this is stupid ; Aastha . IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE . The plan itself is pretty simple and consists of three steps, that are : distract the hot-headed Librarian ( chubby looking strict women with half- moon spectacles) , find the key and have a lookout and the last one to go and find the book , steal it .

Yeah , the basic plan we see in each and every teen movie and it might seem easy on screen but when you are at the same place in practical , it makes you weak in the knees . Okay , maybe I was being a dramatic bitch seconds ago , but I wanted to call my bestie stupid . You can't blame me , it's one of the activity of day I look forward to ; teasing both blabbering idiot's of my life .

Time to execute the plan .

Emily has chosen a spot from where she can get a clear view of Mia and her conversation .

" Miss ?" Mia calls out calmly .

" Yes " The librarian replies in a husky voice .

" I wanted to point out something to yesterday regarding this Library , however you were busy with , may I say a client of yours couldn't quite reach you " Mia says in a professional way .

Damn , this girl knows her ways .

" What concerns you , dear ?" The librarian asks in a kind voice . This girl melted her cold aura . Mental note , tease Mia more .

" I saw a boy ripping the page of one of the books and stuffing it in his pockets , his back was to me so I wasn't able to see his face . I just heard the sound of a page ripping , miss . Forgive me , I couldn't provide you with the full information " Mia whispers in a fake concerned voice .

" No no dear, you have nothing to apologize for . That boy better apologize. Thank you for the kind gesture , would you like to accompany me into the camera room ?"

" Sure , miss . Are there cameras in the whole library ?"

" Oh no , it is not in the restricted section as no one enters it without registering their name and I am the one who opens it up "

Mia and librarian passes by into a room in the far corner of library . I better return to the task on hand .

Quickly making my way behind the desk , I start opening up drawers at a random pace . Some old newspapers , photographs , stationary and an old rotten bread is what I have found . There is only one drawer left . I try to open it but it's not budging. Applying some pressure I opened it and found a silver key in it . I pass it carefully to Aastha as to not make a sound and start the lookout.

The restricted section doesn't contain much books just some 6 shelves and no chairs . I see Aastha going through the book's names and searching for something . As she turns around the corner , I could no longer see her and gets my attention back on the gate from which the librarian left .

The next few minutes passed in a blur . Everything happened fast . First came the sound of someone coming who just so happened to be the Librarian . Trailing behind her was Mia and when Emily turned around to shout for the ' Mission Abort ' , Aastha was already shuffling some heavy looking books in her bag . Emily quickly ruffled there to help her lock the door and place the key behind the desk .

And let me tell you it was a very close call . Librarian had just turned when they rounded the corner to leave , they bid their goodbye's to Librarian to look as normal as possible . In a few seconds , Mia joined them -

" Gosh , that was close " Emily was Mia taking in deep breaths

" Have you got the source you were looking for ?" Mia questions

" Yeah , yeah.... MISSION ACCOMPLISHED " Aastha replies .

" This calls for an ice cream and pizza with coldrink " Mia smiles in response.

" Mmhmm "
