Grace stood outside her and Ariana's apartment, and watched the room. She feared that Ariana might be in there right now, but remembered she read that contract between her and Harry, and figured out that once she agrees to it, she will be moving out. So maybe, she wasn't in right now.
After coming back from the club with Bailey, she has changed her clothes and left for her house. She missed Ariana, so badly that she couldn't help it to get over here, with the hope that she will be here.
Ariana had to be looking for her.
At first, she was the one that was angry and vowed never to see her anymore, until she realizes her mistake but now, she was feeling more guilty than ever, after coming back from the strip club.
Whereas, she's trying to save up the money to get Ariana out of Harry's hold. She had come to understand what led Ariana to make such a decision.
The room light wasn't on, and there weren't many people around which made it easier to enter the building. She has on a hoodie to cover up her face, so she doesn't want anyone to recognize her and give Ariana the idea that she kept coming back here.
Grace vowed that she would rather be off the face of the earth, than giving Ariana the hope that she was already changing her mind. Just like how she's selling off her identity to get money, Ariana wouldn't be happy once she hears that she's stripping to get money too.
They are both at a loss end, that they had no option than to do whatever to get money. But she was more embarrassed of the situation, because it's all her fault. Everything started because her of her, so, it's right that she puts an end to this madness, even if she has to go beyond stripping to get the money so that Ariana can breach that contract between her and Harry.
She was almost inside her room, before she caught by the landlady, who kissed her teeth in annoyance before coming straight at her.
"I don't know what exactly the both of you have got going on, but you need to stop bringing random people over here, it's disturbing the neighborhood. If it persists, I would have no other choice than to get you girls out of my house immediately ."
The landlady said with annoyance.
She was referring to the men that followed Ariana around, and has caught her numerous times after she struggled to get inside the apartment insearch of her friend.
"I'm sorry." Grace apologized. Although she didn't know the full details, from what she heard, she knew that Ariahs had been coming here lately.
"Forget it," The landlady huffed and puffed, "I'm sure that you don't know it yet because you have been on the run. After your rent is due next months, I would like for you both to leave my house."
Grace looked up at her instantly, they don't owe her rent money. Moreover, they haven't done anything yet to warrant her chasing them out of her house.
She tried to speak but the woman beat her to it. "There's no need of wasting my time with you. I have already informed your rich friend, so do better to adhere to my warning and don't stress me out when the time comes."
The woman said harshly before leaving her there dumbfounded. Grace had no idea what to do, she can't leave just yet..no, she couldn't afford to pack out of here just yet, this was the only place where she knows that she can meet Ariana.
She has no idea where Harry has taken her, neither does she have the right to go and report this to the police. That's like calling for her own death, in a way that would hurt Ariana too, if she goes ahead to report to the police about the deal between her and Harry.
So, all she did for the moment was to enter inside and packed a bit of her bag. Tears streamed down her face, she had no idea what to do or who to run to for help.
Most importantly, she has no money to save her friend.
After she was done looking at the room for a while, she left but not without making sure to leave a note behind, one that would get Ariana to call her as soon as she sees the note.
She left the building after awards to board a taxi, having no idea that she was being watched all along by a black Audi that sat outside the building, after following her from the club, back to Bailey's house then here too.
The moment she arrived back at Bailey's, she could hear voices from inside. It's late so she knew that there's no way Bailey would be entertaining her friends by this time so late at night. The moment she opened the door, she was met with the strong smell of weed, which nearly knocked her out from his strong smell that was all over the parlour.
"Oh! You are back." Bailey's excited voice dragged her attention over to where she was seated on a man's lap, with his other friend who was eye raping her which made Grace feel conscious of her body,
It's not like she was putting on a skimpy outfit. She was dressed properly this time, yet, she could still feel his gaze on her.
Bailey was almost naked. She was wearing just a bralette and shorts that has her butt cheeks out.
"Hi." Grace said unenthusiastically, she didn't want to give Bailey the mindset that she was happy with what she was doing. This wasn't her house but the least she could do, was to respect the fact that she wasn't alone anymore, and stop entertaining random guys while she's here.
She left even before Bailey could say anything else, and once she was inside the guest room, she dropped down on her bed to rest, but the door opened and Bailey sauntered her way inside.
"Hey!" She said, walking over to sit besides her.
Grace wasn't in the mood to talk to her. She needed an alone time for herself.
"Are you alright?" Bailey asked, concerned.
"Yeah, I'm just tired."Grace smiled at her before standing to change her clothes.
"Well since you are fine, my friend out there says he's intrested in you…"Bailey said only to be cut short by Grace immediately.
"Bailey, I really appreciate the fact that you are trying to look out for me, but I'm not interested." Grace rejected her offer immediately.
She appreciates what she's doing, but Bailey is wild and so were her friends. She's a virgin which she doesn't want to tell Bailey about, because she would freak out like it's something so bad.
Grace mentally notes to herself, about finding a house as soon as possible once she gets her first pay if she starts stripping.
"Well, you never really told me about the man you are taking to just outside the ladies bathroom at the club?" Bailey added, wiggling her brows at Grace, that it made her laugh too.
Bailey had her way of putting a smile on someone's face regardless of how angry one is.
Until she fully understood her question.
Which man?
She looked at her confused until she remembered him.
Green eyes?
Grace instantly blushed which Bailey caught her immediately.
"Aww, I see someone is already crushing on a stranger. So, tell me, who is he? I wasn't able to see his face because i had to talk to the other girls about the next show. Tell me?" Bailey urged her on.
"Well, I didn't get his name.. we just passed each other briefly, and besides he doesn't seem like the type to look my way. He's freaking rich."
Bailey gasped touching her heart at the talk of Green eyes being rich.
"Girl! Please tell me that you atleast asked for his contacts?" Bailey looked at her expecting a positive answer, but Grace bowed her head in disappointment.
"I.. I'm not looking for a relationship, Bailey. I have a lot of shit going on with me and a relationship is the least of my problems." Grace said to her, and she could swear she watched the way Bailey's mood changed immediately.
"Okay, I just wanted to let you know that Kane and his friend will be staying over for the night." Bailey said flatly, her mood was soured.
Grace was confused at her behavior.
She's the one that actually met Green eyes, so why was she bothered over something that has nothing to do with her?
Nevertheless, after Bailey left, she took her bath and locked her room door afterwards after doing her skincare for the night. She could still hear voices from downstairs which was why she did what she did.
She couldn't risk any of Bailey's stupid friends walking in on her while she's sleeping, and at that moment she was laid on her bed and switched off her lamp.
She was out like a light, but surprisingly those green eyes filled her thoughts, that she couldn't help but to think about him while she slept.
Maybe Bailey was right. She should have asked for his contact but she's not that type of girl. Moreover, she's not ready for a relationship.
