In the spirit of the times, Elissa, a girl from the colonies, has seized this chance to bring glory to her home islands. She moves to the Imperial Capital City, Caelmere, to study in the Sefrayle Squire's Academy and become a Knight of the famed Order of Aefentid, a group of demon slayers and peacekeepers who have maintained order within the continent for over a millennia.
But she will soon learn that that the knot that held the vast empire together was beginning to unravel. The conflicts between the ruling aristocracy and the rising class of powerful merchants worsen each day, and political instability within the colonies has formed discontent among the colonials. And beneath all this chaos, a plot among the Princes of Hell has began its motions within the Empire.
