SOFIA
"Are you leaving? But you just got here" I hear Anna whining voice from behind us. All my body weight was being held up but Kai's arm was around my waist. I was trying not to think of his skin touching mine.
"I came to get Sofia and I've done that," Kia says bluntly to her, the kindness evaporated from him. Anna watches like I was betraying her, she wanted to be the one in his arms and I couldn't care less. If he wasn't offering me a ride home she could have him. Kai nods at her before leading me to the door. The black Bentley that drops him at school already waiting for us.
We rode in silence, I stare out the window the whole way. I didn't even bother asking how the driver knew my exact address. I couldn't help but wonder why he was always there to recuse me when I needed it.
"You sink like a pub." His voice is low and almost like it's part of the night. He's seated close to me our knees are almost touching. "Did you hear me?" He asks.
