As the candidates begun making their dishes, the audience watched them, they may not be able to taste the dish that the students made but it was not forbidden to copy their cooking technique.

Well, too bad for the Uchiha's as there was a suppression on using any kinds of ninjutsu or their eyes, so they could only watch attentively.

Afraid to miss a single detail.

Every candidates prepared different kind of ingredients and different kind of ways to prepare their dishes.

And this is where Tobirama passion for cooking came out to be, at first he thought being a chef was very simple but when Tanaka handed him a book.

Gastronomy is the study of food and culture, with a particular focus on gourmet cuisine. The term subsumes cooking techniques, nutritional facts, food science, and palatability plus applications of taste and smell as human ingestion of foodstuffs goes.

Tobirama was so fascinated that he forgot to sleep for 3 days just to read a few books but it was worth it for him.

Tobirama spent almost a year studying Gastronomy and after that, he also started creating dishes with he ingredients that could only be found in the Shinobi World.

He used The Dragon Guild Trading to make search ingredients for them which Tanaka accepted since this will also improve the food resources of the village.

And so, after that, Tobirama created tons of dishes that made him a principal.

As for the students, they are also allowed to study gastronomy, but the ones created by Tobirama had restrictions such as only the top 10 elite could study it or anyway.

This was also one of the reason why Ryuotsuki became one of the most popular school in the shinobi world, yes, the whole shinobi world.

Young kids who were inspiring to be great chefs would think of Ryuotsuki if they want to be one of the best of the best.

Many Daimyo's extended their interest in the Ryuotsuki and wanted to send some of theirs, and Tanaka happily accepted.

The Culinary culture is very small in the Shinobi world which meant, the people of this world had trash taste buds.

Tanaka allowed accepting foreign students but of course there was a price, and there are also some requirements.

The price is the tuition fee and as for the requirements, they must pass the exam of the school and the other was no spies are allowed, if Tanaka ever caught one or found one, the country where the spy came from will hold accountable.

And one example already happened once, about 2 years ago Tanaka dont know if Kumo is just an Idiot or they are simply dumb, but they tried sending one, making Tanaka smile.

After that, the Kumo compensated Tanaka for the damage he dealt to their village, yes, it was not Tanaka who paid for that but their own in which Tanaka didnt really care.

He refrained from killing anyone on that battle since he was just teaching them a lesson.

After that, the story about Tanaka wrecking havoc on Kumo already resounded all around the Shinobi World which made the other countries to stop what they are planning.

With this Tanaka also had his title promoted and was renamed to Ryujin, which means Dragon God and his bounty also increased to 5 Billion Ryo which was recorded the highest, second to him was Madara and Hashirama who have 900 million ryo bounty on their head..(A/N: I dont know if it was correct or not)

But not everyone accepted the title given to him by the Kumo, after all, Dragon + God is already over exaggerating.

A Dragon is already the highest existence according to myths and tales and now you add god with it? wont that make the highest of the highest existence? that is what they thought.

But Tanaka really didnt mind, it was easy to make them accept the title but he refrained by doing so, on that time all of his focus were on the rifts so he didnt give any attention to it.

Anyway, the reason why Tanaka only added tuition fee on the foreign students is because not everyone of them is backed up by a country, and Tanaka doesnt discriminate foreigners.

He was more welcoming to them, after all, Tanaka knew the feeling of wanting to chase your dream but because you are poor or it was really not attainable so you give up, and Tanaka wanted a village where everyone could chase after their dreams.

Now back to the present, the 3 hours was ending soon and the candidates are rushing to finish their dishes.

And so after a few more minutes, the count down was up and the candidates raised their hands because it was one of the rules.

The first student nervously served his dishes to the judges which was the trio, Tanaka, Madara and Hashirama.

The first candidate served a coconut prawn curry, the first one to taste was Hashirama, followed by the other two.

They didnt have any exagerrated foodgasm like in Food Wars but their eyes lit up and when they tasted the dish.

"Judges, please comment about the dish" The host said.

Madara nodded and said, "Its good" and he didnt say anything anymore.

Hashirama and Tanaka only glanced at him, " I say it was a delicious dish, I like the slight spiciness of it, and all and all, its a good dish" Hashirama commented.

"Its good" Tanaka commented, Hashirama hatefully glanced at the two, even Tobirama who was at the side glared at them.

"Ehm... please give your points" the host said.

The three nodded and gave the candidate a score of 6, 8, 7 a total of 26 points, the candidate sighed in relief, it was not a bad score.

The next dish came and the first to comment was Hashirama, "Its good" he commented.

The other two glanced at him then smirked, they then gave a professional evaluation on the 2nd candidate dish in which dumbfounded Hashirama.

"Are you guys messing with me" He whispered.

"What do you mean, we act professionally" Tanaka said.

"Thats right" Madara nodded.

"You mean Professionally messing with me?" Hashirama scowled.

"We didnt say that" Madara and Tanaka said at the same time.

"You guys admitted it! Gha!' Hashirama wanted to beat these two up but since they are infront of many people, he could only hold it for later.

Anyway, after the top 4 candidates have been listed, the preliminaries ended in which Madara and Tanaka immediately ran away, then chased by Hashirama.

The Round 1 will start in 3 days time, and the top 8 candidates are preparing for the upcoming contest.

Meanwhile, the three already old people were brawling somewhere in the Uzumaki Residence and was reprimanded by Mito.

"Grow up already! you are all leaders of village, why cant you guys act maturely!" Mito yelled at them.
