The Heroines Will Only Be Happy... Once I'm Dead

No no no no no... this couldn't be happening.

Looking at the little hands in front of me, and how short I felt, I knew.

What the system had said in that dark space was real.

But no, I would never ever do that again.

I couldn't, it was against my entire being.

I clutched my head, screaming into my mind.

I had done it the first time because of that faint hope and not wanting to die.

But having to do it for another 20 years, I just couldn't.

I couldn't be the final boss anymore.

Staring blankly across my dark bedroom, one that I never thought I would ever return to, I made up my mind.

I would never go through that hellish experience ever again.

Taking a look at the knife hidden under my pillow and my bedsheets, I knew what I had to do.

<Caroline Castor's POV>

'I want to go sleep with Big Bro.'

That had been my only thought tonight.

So, I had walked up to his room, and then opened the door slowly.

But, what I saw was too much for my little brain.

There he was, blood pouring out of his slashed eyes, as he hung there in the middle of the room, slighting swinging like a pendulum whilst turning so that I could see his whole body, his cut up bedsheets tied around his neck and hanging him from the ceiling.

My first reaction had been to scream, seeing this gruesome scene in front of me.

But then, it hit me, as I remembered everything.

He was the devil, somebody that definitely needed to die.

And I should have just let him die.

Burning with hatred, I tried to completely destroy his body then and there, but, my scream had alerted many of the maids, and my sister, as they rushed into the room.

Looking at Big Sis' face, I watched as her face contorted in horror, using her hand to cover her mouth, before it quickly twisted into one of extreme anger, her hand covering this up also, so that only I could see it.

She instinctively looked over to me, and as we met each other's eyes, we nodded.

We both knew that the other now remembered, but that we couldn't do anything in the state we were in.

So, we just watched, as the maids came into the room, immediately cut him down, and then drowned our "brother" in high grade potions.

It truly was a disgusting sight.

Two Weeks Later:

Our brother was still in a coma.

The high grade potions had unfortunately been able to keep him alive, but, we were told that if he ever woke up, he would be paralyzed from the waist down, and he would be missing an eye, as it had been too destroyed to be able to recover.

Father had cried the whole first night, as he sat by brother's bed, pleading to whatever god was out there for brother to stay alive.

Big Sis and I had acted perfectly, and we had cried along with Father whilst trying to console him.

But, we had both been scheming.

We planned multiple different attempts on Brother's, no, Callian's life, but we were never able to find the opportunity.

You see, although the maids and our father let us take care of him, if he suddenly died during this time, we would be immediately blamed, and Father would just get even sadder.

We couldn't allow this to happen, as Father had been our only hope after Callian turned.

You see, two years from now, on a day like any other, Callian would suddenly change.

He started abusing us, to the point where we almost died, and would always blame it on a fall or something whenever father would ask.

We weren't able to stop him, as, although he was younger than Big Sis, he was a boy, and unfortunately, was just stronger than her.

But finally, we had been able to awaken our seeds, and so, we completely put him in his place.

Yet, even after we left the family, we always had this burning question, why did Callian suddenly turn in the first place?

But, it seemed like we would never know now.

As, in the end, he had killed us without a single trace of emotion on his face.

So, we were going to do the same thing, he deserved it.

Doing nothing, we just sat there looking at him, hoping that he would just die here and now.

<Callian's POV>

I was in the middle of a dark sea, on a little raft drifting through the ocean of my subconscious.

I just sat there, glumly, defeated.

I mean, I could've woken up by now, but I just had no reason to.

So, let me tell you a story about a young man.

He had just been a regular college student, albeit, an early single dad.

Then, he found himself transmigrated into an eroge game as the final boss character after going to sleep one night.

Honestly, he definitely had never played this game before and definitely didn't know the plot or anything.

Anyways, at first, when he had gotten the "Final Boss System", he had been stoked, thinking that it would be like those novels where the protagonist got a "Third Rate Villain System" whilst secretly helping the heroines.

But his mood had taken a turn for the worse.

You see, unlike those "Third Rate Villain Systems", the "Final Boss System" gave out tasks that were completely horrendous.

Instead of insults, pretending to force yourself on someone, or making the protagonist mad with his background, he had instead been forced to kill, rape, and commit genocide.

It was pure agony for his brain.

He was just a normal college student! He hadn't even thought about those kinds of things in his past life! All he did was study and spoil his daughter!

You might be wondering why he just didn't do any of the tasks.

And, you would be right, he had tried not to abuse his sisters at first.

But, he found out that there was a punishment for not doing a task.

It was pretty simple really, if he didn't do a task, his daughter's life force would be halved, causing her to die earlier, and for her to have a weaker constitution, meaning, more injuries, and more bad luck.

And, the system had threatened to bring his daughter to this world if he didn't do the tasks.

This was the figurative straw that broke the camel's back, as the dad didn't want his daughter to find out about all the horrible things that he had done.

It had also promised to send him to another world after this one, and he would be reincarnated as the Main Character this time, along with his daughter.

And, he was not sorry to say this, but he valued his daughter over everything else in this world.

So, he had followed the instructions of the system down to the letter, and manifested the bad ending of the eroge game, where all the heroines died, and the protagonist was left alone after killing him.

After the protagonist madly tore his heart out, he was relieved to finally be sent to another world as the Main Character this time, not having to do evil, morally wrong acts anymore, but there had been an error with the system.
