Lucias muttered before closing his status board with a difficult expression on his face as he laid down on his large soft bed, remembering his conversation with the 'creator' from before.

"... Destruction... I can't believe, I was born to be a vessle for that guy..."

Lucias muttered while staring at the dark ceiling of his room causing him to click his tongue before throwing the base by the side of his bed towards the mirror of his room.

"Shit..."

Lucias muttered as he sat down, holding his head with both of his hands with a pained expression on his face.

"... 'creator'..."

Flashback

"'creator'... what did you mean by that?"

Lucias muttered as he slowly stood up from the ground with an exhausted expression on his face.

"You did it! you did it, Lucias! You finally gained it!"

The 'creator' shouted in joy inside his mind while Lucias just stood there, flabbergasted as he read the information in front of him.

"... 'creator'... tell me... who's Destruction?"

Lucias asked as he weakly sat down on the ground.

"..."

The 'creator' remained silent from hearing his question.

'... She didn't answer?... Don't tell me she's hiding something from me...'

Lucias thought remembering the habits of his own wife when she was hiding something important to him. In the past she was able to cover it through lies, but due to their talk in the past when she apologized. She stopped lying to him, but instead she becomes meek and quite when she's hiding something important from him.

"'creator'... Is this... one of the beings that you mentioned years ago?"

Lucias asked remebering their first meeting a few years ago before the faction was even created.

"... Indeed... he is the being that I told you that gave you his will a few years ago"

The 'creator' honestly answered causing Lucias to sigh in relief before glancing at Shuten and his slime who were waiting for him at the corner of the room.

"... 'creator'... who is he exactly?"

Lucias asked once again as he gazed at the ceiling of the room, watching the layers of mana slowly dissolve itself into small particles that rained down to the ground.

"... Lucias... you and him are the same person"

"What?"

"... He is my husband... The man that was given to me by them to aid me in learning how to feel the concept of emotions and care towards my creations... but he died... he died under his own foolish mistakes and you... you are his incarnation as a mortal"

The 'creator' explained causing Lucias to stare at the ground confused about what she explained.

"... incarnation?... it's quite strange for a powerful being like him to degrade himself into a mortal and choose specifically in this dimension..."

"It is because of your potential and-"

"Creator... Tell me the truth, I always found your explanation in the past... weird... Simple things like potential and morality isn't enough to make a being as powerful as him to choose me..."

Lucias asked causing the 'creator' to remain silent for several minutes before finally speaking in an anxious tone.

"Lucias... I don't think we should talk about this... that is all in the past and-"

"Tell me 'creator'... I don't know what you're hiding but... I want to know"

Lucias said as he slowly regained his full strength causing the 'creator' to hesitate before asking a question in an anxious tone.

"... Promise me... You wouldn't be angry after this... Lucias"

"... I promise"

Lucias said with a gentle smile on his face causing the 'creator' to sigh in relief but still hesitated to tell him the truth.

"... He didn't chose you, Lucias... He throughly died in the past for his mistake... but... I have managed to grasp a portion of his power before he throughly dissapeared from existence... and they allowed me to do so because Destruction hasn't fulfilled his main purpose yet"

The 'creator' explained causing Lucias to sigh as he already guessed that that was the case.

"... I didn't hold any emotion nor love towards him in the past but... I wanted to repay him for being there with me and lending me his aid in creating everything that is now... So I placed it within a seal containing his final wish... the wish to survive and accompany me until the end of time"

"..."

"So... I chose three candidate from each dimension to temporarily hold the will, and all of them died or were killed by me because of their Greed for power... all until everyone died and you were the only one left..."

"... me?"

"Yes... you had the same potential as each of the beings that I chose and hold the compatibility to hold Destruction's power"

The 'creator' said as she glanced at their daughter who was happily sleeping by her side.

"... So I extracted all of their potential from their soul and concentrated it within you, giving you the highest potential among all of the beings that exists"

"Including the biblical God... he was a powerful man that was able to place his will onto you before his soul was dissected by me"

The 'creator' said causing Lucias to frown as he didn't expect that the Biblical God's soul was dissected by his own wife.

"But... you were still a human so I had to place your body and soul within the void to prepare everything that you'll need to become stronger... Everything that I created from the different dimension to aid the candidates that I chose... I placed all of them within this dimension and your time so that they can all aid you in your journey"

"... So that means... everything that I own now..."

"They all originally belong to someone else but not everything, Lucias... The spirits were suppose to be for Itsuka Shido, but he was killed by the True God of his dimension because he is a threat to his power... The ancient demons... I created them for you before you were even born but I didn't expect for a high human to covet their interest and love... So I had no choice but to seal a select few of them for you"

The 'creator' answered causing Lucias to widen his eyes in bewilderment as the faces of his fiancées suddenly flashed inside his mind.

"... I know you feel overwhelmed, Lucias but please understand... Every actions that I did after I started developing feelings for you were all decided according to my love and care for you, and not for my goal to revive destruction... I lost interest in such things in the past and focused all of my attention on you... The only reason why I felt happy for you is because... we can finally be together with equal footing... we can finally live in the main realms without limitation and toll on your body"

"... I thought you were helping reach that height from the start but... revive? I thought I would just grow stronger until I am on equal footing with you and... why are you so desperate to explain your actions to me?"

Lucias asked causing the 'creator' to gasp as she noticed that she said too much.

"... 'creator'... Tell me everything, we promised to each other that we won't hold any secrets towards each other"

"L-Lucias... I don't want..."

The 'creator' said as her grief and fear affected her causing Lucias to narrow his eyes in suspicion.

"... 'creator'... tell me the truth... I'm not mad..."

"... Promise me... You won't leave me after hearing it..."

The 'creator' begged in an anxious tone causing Lucias to gently smile before answering her in a gentle voice to assure her.

"I won't"

"Really?"

"Yes, I promise"

Lucias assured causing the 'creator' to hesitate for a few minutes before deciding to tell him the truth.

"... Then... ... I-I first planned to just sacrifice your body as a vessel for him... I planned to... remove your soul out of your body once you reach the peak of strength and allow Destruction to use your body to regain his strength and authority... I gave you all the luxury to enjoy your life before I remove you from existence..."

The 'creator' explained causing Lucias to widen his eyes in disbelief as he didn't expect that the woman that she loved thought like that about him in the past.

"After I started to develop feelings for you... I remodeled your body to become his incarnation... So you wouldn't have to be his sacrifice... that was the only method I knew to stop him from devouring your body. You and him are now similar to a split personality. You both share the same soul, body, and memories, but both of you have distinct personalities, that is your only difference"

The 'creator' added but panicked as soon as Lucias didn't say anything to her after she finished explaining.

"B-But that was all in the past!!! I-I changed my mind and tried to find a way to remove his will from your body so that you could stay with me... I love you, Lucias... B-But now you can inherit his power without erasing yourself from existence!! I-Isn't that wonderful!?"

The 'creator' hurriedly explained as small droplets of tears started to fall down from her eyes as she waited for him to say something but even after 40 minutes... He didn't respond and just blankly stared at the ground.

"..."

"L-Lucias? P-Please answer me... Y-You're scaring me..."

"... Does the primordial beings know about this?"

"... They do not... all they know is that... you are now there father. They didn't know that Destruction would eventually take over your body... I knew that they would scorn me if I did... so I couldn't tell them the truth..."

Lucias muttered before closing his eyes as he tried to digest everything that she said. He tried to remove the grief that he felt from hearing his views of him in the past... and the reason why he was born from his mind since it was all in the past, but he couldn't get rid of the pain that he felt from her words.

"L-Lucias? Y-You're not angry right? Y-You promised me"

"... I just... need sometime to think..."

"L-Lucias, I-I changed Lucias. I changed just for you s-so please don't leave..."

"... I'm not leaving you 'creator'... I just need some time to clear my mind"

"... The last time I saw her panicked like that is... when she apoligized to me in the past... "

Lucias muttered as he stared at the ceiling of his room without a single emotion visible on his face.

"... I'm so childish"

Lucias said before slapping both of his cheeks with his hands to fix his current state of emotion.

"Why am I lamenting for something that happened in the past... This isn't like me"

Lucias said as he sat up from the bed, motivating himself to try and overwrite the negative emotions that he felt a moment ago.

"That was all in the past... and I've overwritten my original fate of being sacrificed... let's look at the bright side, Lucias"

He said as he slapped himself once more before standing up from the bed and stretching his body with a large smile on his face.

"I became someone who is recognized and worthy to inherit Destruction's authority... I am not a sacrifice anymore but his inheritor... so what's the point of being sad"

Lucias muttered to himself before clenching his fist as he gazed at the wall with a regretful expression on his face.

"I'm shouldn't have made her cry like that... I'm such an idiot"

Lucias whispered before sighing as he gazed at the requirements needed for him to evolve his current race.

"... Core of a True God... what's that?"

Lucias read with a stoic expression on his face as he didn't understand the material indicated by the requirements.

"... She didn't answer... since I was quite angry a while ago... I already expected this to happen... she will try and avoid contacting me until I cool myself down"

Lucias said as he started to make guesses what the material is.

"Is it similar to a monster's core?"

Lucias asked himself but found it difficult to believe since only a few humanoid species has a core in their body. Humans, Dyrads, Sirens, Harpies, Lamias, and the like had no core inside their bodies but he didn't expect that True Gods like him have one in their bodies.

"... but why didn't I felt it when I ascended into a True God?"

Lucias muttered as he gripped his chest where his heart was located with an small frown on his face.

"Is it located in my chest just like regular monsters?"

Lucias asked himself before sighing as he decided to just throw it at the back of his head since he must first reconcile with the 'creator' to grab any information about the cores of True Gods.

"So... The hardest requirements to achieve is this..."

Lucias said while sliding his finger on one of the requirements for his Ascension.

"Recognition of... the being that highjacked the gift that the 'creator' has given me... I don't even know where they are... How the hell am I suppose to get their approval?"

He muttered in a frustrated voice before laying down on the bed on his back with a tired expression on his face.

"One problem after another... I'm going to die from stress at this rate"
