The Gnoll Story

Day 1, month unknown, year unknown

As winter wind blows, thunderous clouds rage, as ice cold rain pours down onto a leathery hut, lies a baby Gnoll whose cries are drowned by the stormy weather rampage.

As lighting light illuminates the world, a shadow can be seen hovering over the baby Gnoll, a shadow with pointy ears and glowing eyes. With bloody daggers, the shadow reached for the child. When a stern voice broke the thunder silence. [Still, you hand Cynthia, for this child is destined for greatness, for its eyes shine with yellow light, much like our leader brother Illidan did in history's past.]

"But sir, are you sure we should spare it? I mean…after all, it's a gnoll, and we all know how vicious and dumb gnolls can be, will we even be able to train it?"

[Silence Cynthia! Don't say such things about any living creature, after all, don't we live with the fur bog! They too are very similar to the gnolls, so if we give them a chance why not a gnoll?]

"I understand your grace but then what do we do with its other sibling? Her eyes glow with the silver light of the moon! However, I do see a hint of green but that might be in part of her gnoll genealogy." said Cynthia

[We will take them both to Darnassus! They will make fine warriors in the future! Replied, the unknown man.]

"But sir… won't they try seeking revenge once they find out we wipe out their entire camp here in Redridge mountains? And I doubt simply telling them that we'll kill them because we accepted a quest for the adventure guild will make things alright between us.'

[Hey, I didn't say we had to raise them ourselves! we will just dump them into some random orphanage in Darnassus!]

"Well sir, as much as I think that's a good idea, why don't we just take the female one with us and leave the male with the humans? After all, humans are more in touch with the light than we are.'

[That won't work Cynthia, as you know the humans don't treat other races kindly, as you know most of the time the humans either enslave their enemies or kill them to extinction. Besides we do have an enclave that are followers of the light. Sure, he might not be able to be a paladin under their teaching, but it could be enough for him until he reaches an age where the humans might better accept him.]

[Ya... You're probably right, if we leave it with the humans, they will probably just kill it within a few weeks, and give us some lame excuse that it died of sudden death syndrome or some other dumb reason].

[Either way master, can we get out of here already? This gnoll camp reeks of dead crops and feces! I need to quickly return to an Inn and bathe, lest I can't even hide in stealth with this retched stench attached to my clothes.'

[Sure, but before we leave, we should set fire to their tents for I see that the gnoll had poor taste in their construction. Plus leaving all these corpses here will only invite trouble later when they rot so close to the town just below the cliff.]

[As you say, master! And you know what, after having a closer look around I would have to agree with your assessment!]

From what she saw not even the violent rain and winds could hide, not even the pretentious dark that swallowed the surrounding area could cover up the stains left behind! For as she lowered the glowing gems in her hand, she could see what was used to make the walls of the tents. For they were made from the very flesh and bones of the gnoll's victims caused by their ravenous hunger! What made matters worse was that as she was looking at the tents walls the walls were looking back at her, for the walls had human faces intertwined in the stitching of the tents! That's right tents! For all the tents that made the camp had more than one human victim inside their stitching!

Meanwhile, as the two Elves were setting fire to the camp: POV Baby

{Do these two really think I can't understand what they are saying? sigh, but what choice do I have but to go along with what they are planning after all I am a baby… also, hot dam! Talk about a traumatic experience after just being reborn. That night-elf lady named Cynthia just killed my parents in front of me!... and had a bloody dagger over my tiny body, like who the hell does that to a baby! Wait a minute, a night elf?? Holy shit! Did I just get reborn into the world of Warcraft game? Well hot damn nice! I don't know how I died…well if I had to guess it would probably be because of my neck beard but that doesn't matter anyway! The real world was boring as shit!}

{Now I get to live out my fantasy in the game I played since Warcraft 3, woot hype train! But...wait... hold up… did they just say gnoll… don't tell me… well shit! No denying what my eyes are seeing in front of me. At first, I thought I was a human child that was captured by gnolls and that they were here to save me but after double checking that doesn't seem to be the case. Well, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised after all, they did just admit to killing my parents and if this pile of corpses is an indication, they didn't just kill my parents but every Gnoll at this campsite.}

{Well, whatever, I just hope I get raised by some hot night elf babe in Darnassus for a while, even if it is just as a pet. And if given the chance I'll become a paladin at some point, after all that was my favorite class in the game, plus it has one of the most survivability out of them all. But why a paladin and not something like a warrior or a rogue? Well, that's because I don't want to be a pussy ass, Asmongold Watanabe! Or a puss bitch that hides in the shadows and stuns everyone to death.}

{It's also not possible to be a demon hunter yet and I don't want to die to be a death knight, and mage is too boring. It's just spam Frost Bolt... who wants to just spam that… I mean sure you can AOE {area of effect} farm but that is only in the game where things respawn, now that this is real life that is not practical.}

{I could probably go the Shamen route since I am a gnoll and that is what they were known for in the game, but I don't know what time period I am in at the moment, if I am in classic wow then even more reason not to be one since my starting zone seems to be on the alliance side right now. I could go the druid route but… I am not a furry… and yes, I do see the irony in that! Anyway, sure I could gain quick power and I couldn't ask for better teachers than the night elves but still no I want to be a paladin even if I must first learn the ways of the priesthood first, good thing they are similar so it should be hard to swap class as Anduin did. Umm.. Why are those two suddenly staring at me? And why do my eyes suddenly feel so heavy}
