The Arrival - Part one

We're here! Sweet civilization how I've missed you. I ate so much but I feel so hungry.

~Maki

Is this place always this bright, it hurts my eyes.

Indeed, the stones which made up the kingdom were polished to the point that they reflected lights.

~Yomi

~Kenchi

Hey where do you live?

Yomi turned her head. Kenchi rapped a cloth around her mouth tightly.

~Maki

Excuse me, but what this?

~Food Merchant

Oh, this is Coral Shark. One silver plat a piece...

The pair walked through the lightly packed streets, till they hit a crowd. As they squeezed their way through the crowd a devastating site was laid before them. In the middle of the city was a thirty meter wide hole. The darkness in the hole was of a thicker color than a night without light.

What's going on here? This place has some weird vibe.

~Maki

How could something so tasty exist?!

Maki overcame with delight devoured the rest of her cuisine.

Attention everyone, today is our annually festival of thanks to the knights that killed the world serpent centuries ago. Thank for your time.

The King waved with a simple smile plastered on his face. He then retreated into his castle

~Kenchi

Sir there's a group of people here to see you.

~The king

Huh, let them in.

The king sat on his throne and waited for the group to arrive at his feet. The doors creaked open, Kenchi entered the throne room.

~Kenchi

Your majesty I heard that you had a bounty out for the princess.

~The King

Yes, and?

~Kenchi

I'm thinking we can settle for 1000 gold plats.

Maki enters the room behind a the tied up princess.

The king smiles.

~The king

I accept your offer.

They exchange princess for the gold plats, and leave the castle.

~Maki

Kenchi do you think she'll be okay?

~Kenchi

No, but that not our problem. You see above everything else I'm a business man. Believe it or not I used to run a village.

Maki laugh so hard her lungs started to hurt.

~Maki

You, running a village, come on, think about what you just said.

~Kenchi

It's true though.

They were walking pass the hole in the ground when a magic presence popped onto Kenchi's radar.

~Kenchi

I have to see what this is about.

Kenchi jumped over the safety railing, and into the hole.

~Maki

Hey what are you doing?

Maki followed behind him...

The king pushed Yomi down a underground tunnel.

~Yomi

Hey, let me go damn it.

~The king

You brat, you've managed to evade my capture for so long.

~Yomi

What are you going to do to me?

~The King

Since your birth. Your fate was to be sacrificed.

~Yomi

The path opened up into a massive cave. A beast encased in enormous bright amber lies in this cave.
